PonyExpress
I'm going to be buying a NEX7000 for my Ford Mustang. I read the official bypass post, and I've seen that it brings success; however, I've only seen it allow you to watch a DVD while driving. Does it let you put in addresses into the navigation while you are driving as well? I know without the bypass it doesn't allow you to do this and I don't want to pull over every time I need to put in an address. Also, has MirrorLink come out with firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S5 yet? Thanks guys.
Dr. Claw
I believe the Ground + "SET ON" bypass does allow nav entry while in motion. Also, for the S5 on a 2014 NEX model, I suggest using the Samsung HDTV adapter, an HDMI cable, and AppRadio. MirrorLink technically works, but there is as of yet, no DriveLink-type software to bring it all together.
493008
I believe the bypass is software only for the x000nex series, so you can connect the parking brake correctly to avoid the warnings that it isn't connected. It is software only on the x100nex series, and you use the same software method for the x000nex for the bypass.
PonyExpress
Thanks for the replies. I will have to try the bypass and just find out for myself. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I am considering upgrading to the S5. Maybe I will wait until MirrorLink comes out with a firmware before I upgrade my phone.
