pmason718
Im thinking about buying the GEX-P10XMT for Nav Traffic but I have a question about installation. If I purchase this item and use it with my Z2 can I just use the IP bus cable for it to work and that's it or will I have to use the power (12v) cable also?

pmason718
Than why does it say this at Crutchfield Wiring Note Power Wiring: If the unit is connected with an IP-Bus cable, it is not necessary to connect the red (+12 volts switched) power lead. The receiver may not work properly if the IP-Bus cable and the red power lead are used together. The Installation Manual incorrectly states that both leads should be connected. A manual correction sheet is provided.

whtcrxghst
You still need to connect the yellow power lead, not the red if I remember correctly Than why does it say this at Crutchfield Wiring Note Power Wiring: If the unit is connected with an IP-Bus cable, it is not necessary to connect the red (+12 volts switched) power lead. The receiver may not work properly if the IP-Bus cable and the red power lead are used together. The Installation Manual incorrectly states that both leads should be connected. Midway_FUBAR
I'm using my NavTraffic in Houston and it is great! First day I had it I was coming back from the Woodlands around 10pm. Just as I got into downtown Houston the system gave me an alert on an accident that had the southbound interstate shutdown. I grabbed the next exit and routed around. Cars were backed up for 2 miles on that one, NavTraffic saved me hours, worth every penny... I'm going month by month and it added $3.99 to my price, I think the total is right at $16 per month for XM and NavTraffic...
