tdclapp88
Recently my 8100 has started going to usb/ipod mode immediately after I start it up. First it will say "media info initializing" then it goes to usb/ipod mode and then it goes to another screen that says "media info this device is no longer available." then it will go back to Bluetooth or Sirius or whatever mode it was on at start up. there is no iPhone, usb, mass storage plugged in. I am not sure why it does this. recent I updated the maps. So since this started I reflashed the newest firmware and the newest maps and reset the factory settings and pushed in the reset button, it continues to do this. How do I stop this? Thanks! edit-- it is in a 2016 jeep wrangler with maestro, I also reset the maestro. Edited May 27, 2016 by tdclapp88
Multitask
I think the reset button just resets the hardware, not the OS I'd have to go look, but maybe there is a Factory Reset within the menus, try that... you'll loose a lot of settings.... I know there is a way to save some of them to an SD card
onebyside
Perhaps disconnecting from the power source and leaving it disconnected overnight might hard reset the unit. If that doesnt do it, service time.
69sixpackbee
Maybe related but my 8100 is on its way back to Pioneer because I had a similar issue with the backup camera. The damn park assist lines in the reverse camera window would come on when I first powered it on in the morning. I had it switched OFF in the system!! My rear cam just flat didn't work..period. I received a lemon and it is on the way back. This is the second time it has gone back to them. Seriously Rethinking my future relationship with Pioneer products. I should have kept my heavily modded F90bt in the truck. At least I wouldn't be driving around with a big hole in my dashboard! Bud
onebyside
Im really curious if there is any correlation to where the units that go back for service are from? Online...possible resellers of refurbished units or Shops selling units bought in bulk via resellers.
