Yolasco
I have a Z2. I did the firmupgrade and the unit does not lock up anymore during hot days ( by the way when I run the firmware update, it did not updated my software version as It said in the intructions) but I am still having a heat related problem: as before the firmware upgrade, i do not get any sound until the unit cools; everything else works including the bluetooth conection with my phone. Has anybody else experienced the same problem? A Pioneer tech told me it was a wire but I did not pay attention to him since he did not want to admit that the units were having a heat related problem. Any help, somebody? whtcrxghst
First, do the firmware upgrade correctly. Second, What kind of car? What speakers/amps?
Yolasco
I did the upgraded just as it said on the instructions. The upgrade cd I burned did run on my Z2. I have a 2006 Nissan 350Z with the bose system. Amp? Do not know. But what I know is that the Z2 has no sound until the unit cools off. Once It is cool, I have no problems. So, I do not know if it is the unit or the installation.
hottwhyrd
what do u mean cools off? if you hop in your car and drive the z2 shouldnt change temperature very easily. do u turn on ur ac and then it works?
Yolasco
Yes, the car is hot from being out in the sun. I get in the car, turn it on and the darn AvicZ2 won't make any sound. After the AC has been running for a while and the interior of the car and the Z2 cool off, the Z2 starts making sounds.
outhouse
am/fm should work no matter what the temp is. the library had heat issues due to the HD as well as booting.
rctjoe24
internal amp overheating? I'm not sure if the Bose systems in the 350zs have a stock amp or not. My eclipse did with my infinity system so maybe it does. Maybe there's a compatibility issue with a stock amp if one exists?
whtcrxghst
Ya, gotta be an amp issue. Are you using an adaptor? Or did you bypass the factory amp completely?
