hasher13
Has anyone heard or seen any rebates out, my dealer mentioned if there is a rebate in the next couple of months he would adjust the invoice to get it?
Guest
Pioneer just came out with a rebate for the n2, n3, d1, d2. Reimbursement for installation costs up to $200. But nothing on the Z1.
ImolaVirus
I don't know, but I seriously doubt it. Companies don't rebate their newest, techie-est product out there. I got a $300 rebate on my AVIC D1.....4 weeks before they introduced the D2. That's usually the way it works.
skicrave
I agree, with the shortage of unit's that are out there, they're certainly not have any problems moving stock off dealers shelves.

ducatiboy
what shortage???? i have pallets of the z1's
Really? Do you work for Pionner or a distributer? I was curious, how many Z1's do you think they sold so far? How many do you think they will sell in a year? I was guessing they sold in the hundreds so far and a couple thousand per year, but maybe I'm way off in my guessing. I wouldn't think this would be a mainstream product (something 10% of the population would buy). I was just curious. When I tell people I bought a $2K radio for my car, I usually get asked "How many people would buy something like that?" 100? 1000? I don't even have a feel for how many people would buy something like these.
skicrave
My invoice indicates that 6Ave had 80 on hand when my order was shipped. Based on that and my experience in the indusry, I would hazard a guess that your estimate is off by a factor of 100, but that's my own best guess, so it certainly doesn't mean very much.
