D Hall Posted October 9, 2007 Report Share Posted October 9, 2007 Since I didnt buy from a Authorized dealer and installed my Z1 myself I purchased a 3 year extended warranty thru a company called MackCamera. It was $150 bucks. The hard-drive froze up after only 9 months....and I dont mean a freeze at the boot-up screen like everyone else. It just quit.....completely. Since pulling the HDD out and shoving it back in myself had no effect I sent it in to Mack. Every couple of days I would check the status of my unit directly from thier website. It was cool to see the status change as it was being repaired (unit recd,unit inspected,fault found,part ordered,part recd,part installed,unit repaired,and unit returned followed with tracking info). Five weeks later its back in my truck and working great. I never had to call them once. Something to consider guys. Just a heads up. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
