subaru_terrence
I got my D3 for my 02 subaru legacy for about 2 months. I got some really weird problem with the headunit. Sometimes, my front left speaker doesnt work. If my car is stopped, normally I would turn up the volume as high as possible, the front left speaker will work again but it might cut out after. If I am driving, if I hit like a speed bump, the speaker may cut out. OR if I let go my gas and touch the brake, it will work again. It is just really weird. I am assuming it is a problem with my headunit since at first I thought it was because of my amp, but it wasnt. I put a different amp in my car, same thing happened. I dont think it is a problem with the speaker itself either. Let say if I connect my front right speaker to the front LEFT channel in my amp, then obviously, the front right speaker wont work properly but the front left speaker will work with no problem. Hope I can get some help from you guys

whtcrxghst
Have you checked to make sure the wiring is not loose and/or shorting on something?
subaru_terrence
I checked the wires behind the amp, everything was secure. Checked the rca cables behind the deck, they were all secure. In fact, I electrcial taped all rca cables after I plugged them in
whtcrxghst
How bout the speaker wire? Is it shorting anywhere in between the amp and the speaker? Or is one of the terminals loose?
subaru_terrence
if i hook up the front right speaker to the front left channel, then that speaker will not work instead of the front left speaker. I came up with a conclusion that I dont think there is anything wrong with the speaker or amp. Can it be a problem with the rca cable to cause the left channel not working and the right channel works perfectly fine?
