themajesticking
Hey guys. Just got off the phone with Pioneer. They said they will replace the flex for free but there would be a $200 charge for them to replace the fuse. What fuse? The woman tried to get more info on the fuse but she couldn't. Here are the problems I was having. 1. Sometimes the screen would flip up but the screen would be black and none of the controls would work. Not even the remote. 2. Other times it would flip up and I would have running lines but I could still touch the screen and the commands worked even though I couldn't see what I was doing. I have never had any problems with the navigation or music.
themajesticking
Any help is welcome......Anybody know of an internal fuse?
whtcrxghst
I would tell them to fix the flex cable and thats it. If it works fine, you're happy. If it doesn't work, you can always send it back.
themajesticking
Just got of the phone with them. They shipped it back out yesterday and I should get it tomorrow. Man that was fast!!! The rep I spoke with said they removed my "dvd bypass modification" and she says they noted an "open fuse". She said an open fuse usually indicates a bad installation. Everything was working when I removed it. We shall see.

themajesticking
Here is their exact message. All I did was sent it in a box with my name, address, telephone number, and serial number on it. I taped this info to the unit and to the inside of the box. I sent the unit in and they fixed it in 3 days and shipped it out on that third day. Thank you for contacting us about our Navigation Flex Cable Upgrade program.
