asianman35
if so is it useful? what kinda things can it do? Id love to have a mute button somewhere, i just end up having to put the volume all the way down when i answer the phone or open the window to talk to someone, kinda annoying. cntrylvr79
I have an older steering wheel remote, not the one iwh the nav button. It does volume, source, track skip, source, and the best MUTE/ATT. Think I got it for $5 on ebay
asianman35
oooooooo whats the model number on that sucker?
SuperH
I use the remote from my DEH-P6500 headunit from a truck before. The one from the DEH-P4300 works, too, for the same functionality as cntrylvr's.
asianman35
any links to what these remotes look like, i founda bunch of pioneer remotes on ebay but none of them say which cd players they work for. thanks
SuperH
CD-SR11 is the actual remote for the AVIC players on the steering wheel. I don't know about attenuate ("mute") with that remote. CD-SR100 is the steering wheel remote for everything else, but it will work on the AVIC and has an attenuate key. All Pioneer car remotes should work. If it's marketed for "MOST players", it WILL work (like the CD-SR100), with the exception of audio functions (treb, bass, bal, fade, eq, etc... since it doesn't emulate the touch screen -- I'd get the nav specific remote for that). asianman35
ok great, i really just want something for the audio, like to mute, change tracks, stations, ect. I can use the screen for all the nav functions. This is the one im really interested in, i dont really even need a steering wheel one either. offroaderf150
i use this remote for my avic-d1....mainly because it has a source button and not the individual radio and cd buttons on the bottom. BobyYoo
who has the CD-SR11 remote? is it normal that sometimes the remote doesn't work, and sometimes it does work. I changed the battery, and i have this problem.
cntrylvr79
does it not work when the sun is shining on the screen? If that's the case then that's normal the ir receiver is being blinded by the sun. Happens to my d1 all the time.
BobyYoo
yeah probably blinded, but it happens at night too... I didn't know that the remote was using IR to send the signal. I dont see the IR eye. I thought it was wireless signal
