z2 new purchase

I am getting ready to purchase a Z2 unit and install it in a 2008 Taurus, and just want to make sure that ALL features can be bypassed to use while driving, especially Nav and DVD system so the passenger can use. I also have a 2007 Freestyle with a factory installed Nav system and it is worthless while driving and i do not want to purchase another unit that is worthless. I have been on the site for 3 hours and I just want to verify what has to be done.

Yep. Follow these instructions even though they say Z1...its the same thing

If the one you buy is made before june-ish 2007, you will also need to download a couple files, burn them on a disk, and stick it in your Z2

as long as you set up the bypass properly, according to the above instructions, then everything will work fine.
