F150 Duke
Hey Guys, I searched but couldn't find all the info I need. I'm getting some pictures formatted to install on the Z1. I made "Pictures" file on the CD and a dummy data file with 100+mb of dummy data, no songs. The pictures are .jpg. I can't get it to be the size you guys said is correct to fill the entire screen, 2592x1305. Everytime I go to change the size in Microsoft Picture Manager, it puts it at 2592x1944. Any advice here? Guest
Um...stupid question, but where can I get 100mb of dummy data? What is considered "dummy data"? I dont want to put anything on a disc that will mess up the Z1 hard drive. I actually sized all my pictures using Windows Paint. Paint Image Stretch/Scew By lowering the stretch percentages it shrunk my photos. Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. :?:
ducatiboy
I use photoshop for this kind of stuff, but you can also get free programs like: http://www.irfanview.com/ or http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ I got my dummy file by finding about 100 gigs of data in a folder and making a zip file from them. Or you can do something like this: http://www.mynikko.com/dummy/ http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/ ... ator.shtml

ducatiboy
Dummy file not needed,.....
In my system it was, maybe it was the cheap a$$ cd's I burned. But I tried burning it without and it wouldn't read the disk. Someone here posted that it was not needed to I burned the first disk without. It didn't read. This was in Nero with the correct settings. I went back to Nero (it was still open) I added a dummy file (like it said in the instruction manual) and it worked. Not saying you did not got it to work without one. But I am just saying I needed one. Maybe the brand and quality of the CD makes a difference. It's possible I changed some other setting in Nero before I burned the second one. I can't really remember. But it doesn't really hurt anything to put one in there. Some times it makes a difference, I don't know why, but some things it does (bioses for hacked xboxes, game cubes, etc...)
