mazz303
I am trying to burn a back-up copy of my dvd. Anyone know what programs i should use to do this on a Mac? Also does anyone find any certain DVD's to be better quality than others? If so, can you recommend which kinds. I bought a ripped copy off ebay and it seems that the quality sucks, takes forever to start up, sometimes tells me to insert appropriate disc, etc.. Thanks

knight20
yea, that sounds like a bad copy of the disc. On the board, I have heard good things about verbatim DL Discs. I used Memorex and it's working fine.
mazz303
that's what this one is, a memorex. looking at the bottom of the disc you can see where it "tracks" just doesn't look like a good dvd.

HiFiSi
an ISO file IS a disk image. You can try using NERO, I believe it is compatible with macs.
