Quick Rear view camera question

I just installed a rear view camera on my car today.

 

I hooked it up to the reverse wire so it will turn on when I am in R only.

 

I thought the D3 will automatically turn on the rear view screen once I am in Reverse but for mine....nothing happened....I had to hit Map button then Rear view button everytime I want to take a look at my rear screen

 

My question is, how do I change the setting in order to make the D3 changes to the rear view screen once I am in reverse?

the D3 is looking for a ground or positive on the "back up" lead.

that makes it switch automatically to rear camera view.

 

if you have a positive lead off the Car's reverse circuit, and that is providing power to the camera,

 

then you should come off the Car's circuit, and provide a positive to D3,

 

and you have to go into in of the multitudes, of screens, and set the Rearview signal to GROUND or POSITIVE.
