  1. Yeah that is what I am experiencing. Now that they have reworked the beep and voices, I don't mind it as much as before. It's barely noticeable when playing music. Franco
  2. I have them. Did you complete steps 7 - 10 of the update? There are two updates that you have to perform to the unit. The first one is the longest and people may assume that it is the firmware update. But looking at some of the folders you copy over in steps 7 and 8, the TTS voices are copied over during steps 7 - 10. Hope that works. Franco
  3. Maybe you completed the first step of the firmware update, but didn't finish all the steps? Make sure you follow the steps to the update, specifically steps 7-11. Looking through the folders you copy over in steps 7 and 8, it looks like the TTS voices are there. I have the voices, although I had to go to languages and select the guy voice then select Samantha to get it working. Franco
  4. Updated the firmware. I'm happy with the VR catalog update and the fact that you don't have to do it every time you turn on the unit. Also, the Windows CE mode that you got into during step 9-10 is pretty cool. Hope we get some good hacks going! Couple of problems though: 1. Still can't turn off beeps. In fact, now sliding master volume all the way down still leaves the beep on (when before it would turn it off). It sounds much better, but I don't want the beep and I would like it completely off. 2. I still hear a low hiss when I press a button or hear the beep and voice promp
  5. If you go to Navi settings, sound settings, and then turn the master volume down, it will turn the screen beep down as well. Page 130 of the manual, and it worked for me. Adjusting the master volume down lowers the guidance voice as well. Hopefully there will be a way to just turn off the beep for all menus, not just navigation menus.
