Did the update today, everything worked great and went smoothly. My TTS magically reappeared and is now working finally! A weird problem I noticed is with bluetooth calling + Iphone3G When somebody calls me, only their number shows up, not their name on screen. I have to pull my iphone3G out of my pocket to see who is calling me before answering on screen. Its weird because when I go to the contact list on the pioneer unit, their name shows up perfectly and I can tap it and it will dial out and their name will show up, but when the same person calls me only their number shows up not t

I really hope this update will restore my TTS. After the first update it wiped my TTS out, Samantha TTS shows up still but once I select it, it goes silent. No voice guidance..nothing. I even did the revised update instructions and manually importing the TTS files, still nothing. Only the non-TTS voices work.

at this point I would be afraid to do another update. the first one totally wiped out my TTS. After doing the updated instructions still no dice.

Yah we all seen that video, the one where the GT-R didn't even use LAUNCH CONTROL. If the GT-R would have engaged Launched control, it would have raped the sh*t out of that POS sooped up cavalier they call the Corvette Z0Sucks. The Z06 was not even stock, it had weight reduction and some other mods. I'm sorry, but the GT-R was not made to be a drag car, even though it does it very well when driven correctly 0-60 in 3.2 and 1/4 in 11.6. Thats Z06 Ass raping times. Take it to a REAL track, and not some illegal race and watch the GT-R run circles around that Z06 all day.

Tried to do the update, obviosly it didn't start because I already have the newest firmware. I tried the TTS steps, updated each TTS, english, spanish, french. Restarted the unit. Still no TTS with Samantha is selected, or any other TTS language! This is pissing me off to no end. On a lighter side, Bluetooth works PERFECT after the update, people hear me loud and clear when I'm on the freeway, or sitting in my driveway. One problem fixed, and other one arises.

Just got off the phone with Pioneer, they said they have about 4 cases so far of TTS not working after the update and they forwarded all the cases to the engineering department. They gave me a case number also and said to give them a call back in a few days to see what they find.

Go to the link I posted a few messages up. HiFiSi, that was one of the first thing I tried to do was select a different voice. I tried spanish TTS, exited out and no TTS. Tried French TTS exited out and no TTS. None of the TTS voices seem to work, but when I go back and select Jason and exit out, he works fine, he starts the guidance with turn left in 400 feet ect. ect. I guess I'm gonna give Pioneer a call right now.

I did all the steps perfectly according to the instructions. Including moving the testmode folder and Mitacap folder over to the SD card in step 7. I had samantha TTS selected as my main voice before the update, afterwards she is still selected but says nothing now. No guidance...nada.

how do you go into test mode? I left the testmode folder, LPUE080 folder, and MiTACAP folder on my SD card. Everytime I boot up with the SD card in the slot, it goes and does the 2nd update..again, where there is a bar and it says ok at the top left when its done. I try to touch anywhere on the screen and it doesn't respond. If I reboot it will go through the same "update" process, at the end...again it doesn't respond after its done.

Just did the new updated on my F700BT, everything went smoothly. I even formatted a new 2GB SD card I got for it, update went without a hitch. Problem is....NO MORE TTS. Nothing. None of the TTS voices work. This pisses me off, since thats one of the main things I wanted Pioneer to fix, Samantha's robotic voice and the way she says comma instead of point but now its completely useless. Guys who did the update check to see if your TTS still works..... I guess its time to give Pioneer a call tomorrow.

Just did the firmware update. ALL OF MY TTS are wiped out. I select Samantha TTS and it doesn't say anything. I choose any of the regular non-TTS voices and they say turn right, or turn left ect!!! DAMN IT! I want my TTS back =(

Hmmm funny the most important thing they should fix is the bluetooth problems! Its practically unusable at any speed over 5 mph.

Yeah I purchased an F700BT over the Kenwood DNX5120 because of the included bluetooth calling. (California hands free law July 1st) turns out the feature is completely useless if you are in motion, from a dead stop with the engine off and windows up, people on the other end can hear me but once you drive off..forget about it. I can't believe Pioneer didn't do testing on bluetooth calling before releasing this unit, it just boggles my mind. The mic is mounted directed in front of me, about 2 feet from my mouth. Yeah thats what I thought too but a few searches came up with the JBL equipped model having the VSS at the amp in the 1/4 panel. The problem is it doesn't say which purple wire, there are 4.

Okay I searched the forum and found out the VSS for my 07 JBL equipped RAV4 is located in the passenger 1/4 panel, so I opened it up and found there are 4 violet color wires there. Can anybody help tell me which one? I looked at all of them and none have purple/white, they are all purple/violet. thank you soo much.
