  1. To fix the rebooting issue, make a backup of your good, working flashdisk. Then, if it fails again, just use testmode to overwrite the corrupt files with your backup you made.
  2. I know it sucks since you paid for the legit 3.0 upgrade, but this worked for me: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=29487&p=201005#p201005 I paid for the upgrade too, and when it took a dump, this was all I could do to have a working HU again. Hope it helps.
  3. All is now well with my F900. I followed this procedure: http://avic411.com/wiki/index.php/Compl ... tall_Guide And reloaded everything completely. I have gone through 4 driving cycles since fixing it, and it is holding up well so far. If it dies again, I will be sure to come back to this thread and post.
  4. I honestly do not remember, it was somewhere from this site. Sorry I can't help you more. If I come across it, I will let you know.
  5. Well, since mine is still installed in the car and we're looking at about 30*F, let me know if that works out for you, and I'll give it a shot.
  6. When I was running v2.X, I also caught the rebooting problem. I ran testmode and just got a copy of the stock data.zip file and installed that over what was there. Apparently, there were some corrupt data files in there somewhere.
  7. Just to add to this, when I inserted the 1st 3.0 SD card, in an attempt to reflash it, it went through the file copying process, rebooted, then froze at the Pioneer boot screen. I inserted SD card #2, but no dice. If I press menu while it is stuck there, I can access the menu, but none of the menu functions work. The only thing that I can truly access are the settings, and that doesn't really help me at all.
  8. When I turn my unit on, I get Pioneer boot screen, and then the unit turns off. I upgraded to the official 3.0 from Pioneer a few months ago, if that makes any difference. I used one of the newer versions of testmode from this site to go in and take a look around at the files, and it seems my flash file is pretty much empty. There were like 4 files left in there, and absolutely 0 folders. No iGo, no nothing. Anyone know how to fix this? Are there just some files on one of the SD cards from the 3.0 update from Pioneer that I can copy to the flashdisk?
  9. look around the F series threads. im certain you will find what you are looking for. i did.
  10. i have had mine installed now in my impala for about a month or so and would not trade it for anything. i had a little hiccup a few days ago, but got it fixed very easily with the help of this site. turns out, it was somewhat of a blessing in disguise because it opened me up to the software mods. i approve of this unit 100%.
  11. i too have an impala (hi yacdogg ) and i connected my VSS wire to the dark green wire at the BCM.
  12. have them do the hardware bypass and lose that switch. you just switch two wires in the harness and ground the park brake and mute wire, iirc. the how to is around here, probably stickied. edit: i would print this out and take it to them. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17013
  13. agreed^^^ check your ACC wire. about the voice telling you how to get home: delete the route and the voice will go away. thats what i do. there are some software mods available that make it easier, such as the one from cmh that has a stop button on the nav screen.
  14. the links from amadeuz4's post seem to be broken....anyone know where else i can get those files?
