I'm just curious why the east coast disk hasn't popped up yet?
Me to. The n5 comes with both cds. How would someone only have one?

The uploader only had the west disc. I need the east coast disc as well. My original (cough cough) is really getting bad.....
If anyone wants me to Burn them a copy of the DVD Dual layer that I know works in my D3, I would be willing to do:
$7.00
$5.00 shipping
and $10.00 for my time and the wear and tear on my new burner.
This should only be if you need a backup of course. Anyone that wants it will have it mailed out the next business day ups with a tracking number.
Anybody whom still has a warranty at any store should just brick the thing with the new map and bring it back to the store with the original maps. Then get the f900bt it is truly 2000% better than the d3. Trust me I was a heavy d3 believer and after I installed my f900bt man what a difference.
CiD - I knew it! I was going crazy trying to figure out why my burn wasn't working. Thanks for confirming this doesn't work with the D1, I guess I'll just have to wait for the real one to come out.
If anyone wants a perfectly good backup disk for their D3, let me know. I have four copies that are absolutely useless to me.
Startin to think it might be my burner. I have a GSA-4160B and its dual layer but I did exactly what the direction stated. I just got an error statin " Invalid field in parameter list" and what not
That's an old burner. First see if there are firmware upgrades for that burner by clicking on the link below:
http://cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Si ... riveId=984
Second, there is a "Book Type" setting in imgburn that you should verify. It's in the lower right hand corner of the program. Confirm you have it set for DVD-ROM under the dual layer setting.
Note that if you update the firmware of your LG, you may need to reset the book type setting.
Hey Itchy I been to that site and it tranfers me to some asian site and I can't ready what is writin. Is there an english version?

just go to cdrinfo.com, select download, then firmware, then your drive type: IDE, LG, model #. Download the latest firmware.
I jus updated the drive from the LG website. I now have the A306 version installed. I erased MagicISO off my comp and gonna try this from scratch and see wats up.

You know what, I was just reading through some old posts and I remembered that there was an issue with the 70 disks only working when it was burned with Alcohol 120. I'm tempted to go out and buy ANOTHER set of DL disks and give it a shot, but I'd rather hear someone tell me that they already used Alcohol 120 and tested the disk in a D1...anyone?
This is what imgburn is showin for my urner. Still havin trouble.

i burned 2 copies now ( got a dl burner) and my d3 still wont take it...it says "please insert appropriate disk"....damn this!
I'm curious what the new background images look like
That is of course about all youre going to get for your efforts according to Pioneer.
Someone post a pic of the new background for me lol
The full iso version has been posted to alt.binaries.windows. Here's an nzb for it.
Hey guys, I noticed someone else asked this back on page 11, but I haven't seen an answer. I'm in Michigan, and it appears on both the East and West original disks. Is this the case with the new disk? I'd hate to update my firmware, only to have to wait for the east disk to appear.
Thanks for the hard work guys!

Anyone know a way to backdate the firmware on the D3 to use the OEM D3 disc just in case???
knight20,
Pioneer says you can't downgrade, so unless someone has a hack or whatever...
still no east coast dvd???
Im trying to sound ungrateful or anything but I can not believe that out of all the people on here no one has an east disc copy to upload. I know that this is something that doesn't have to be done and that we are lucky if anyone at all does it but come on guys someone share the wealth.
Listen, the east disk isn't out yet because Pioneer hasn't destributed the east or the west 80mp disks yet. Someone out there on the east coast recently purchased a n5 and was nice enough to pass along the west disk that he/she wasn't using. Everyone just show a little patience. From what I hear, this update isn't all that great anyway. A few new streets and a few new POI's. Relax people.
For those who are asking about Michigan, it is on the new west disc.
Finally got this damn thing to burn. Had to buy a new burner as my old one was an older model which restricted me from burnin certin DVD's.
Now Im on the hunt for the East disc but havin NO LUCK... Has to be out there some hwere BUT WHERE??? Been googlin and what not but no luck. Dammit lets all pull together ![]()
i got the west to burn but also looking for the East disc too, and like you no luck.
No disrespect to anybody but how do u manage to get an N5 with only the west disc? Was that question already asked and answered? It jus puzzels me... I even tried callin an audio store my friend works at to see if he had any N5's in and to lend me the demo disc to burn but he been off work since he broke his leg. Its out there BUT to find it
I too am waiting for the east coast disc, but until then I'm happy to help seed/post the west coast disc. When the disc we need is available, I'm sure we'll see it. Until then let's be happy with what we've got and let it go.
