Night schemes all are 'dark' to reflect a night view, but again all look the same no matter which scheme you select. Need help!!!

Very strange... I would suggest deleting everything form iGO's SAVE folder except for favorites.dat file and see if you can reselect schemes...

OK, possible problem as my IGO directory contains no SAVE folder (and of course this means no favorites.dat file).

Were are you graphics guys getting the carbon fiber looking backgrounds for these graphics? I'm an advanced Photoshop guy and I love that look but I can't find the images or tutorials on making them.

That worked Boris - thanks for the help. Odd thing was there was no favorits.dat file in the Save folder, but I deleted all the others and rebooted and the screens seem ok now..

favorites would exist only if you have actually defined any favorites on the AVIC. If you didn't, then don't worry about it.

to make the modded real-view schemes work you need to add the following folders/files to your flash drive:

(download and unzip gfx.zip, you will have a gfx folder with 2 sub-folders in it called day & night)

add the gfx folder to:

my flash disk/apl2/igo

so it would look like this:

my flash disk/apl2/igo/gfx/day

&

my flash disk/apl2/igo/gfx/night

then the real view schemes modded by boris will work

The themes already worked and we already have gfx folder. You placed this outside of the current gfx folder? Do you now have stars, a spaceship, a sun and moon?

Your using the regular pioneer gps or leetlauncher when using the schemes and seeing the sky's? I've gotten the sky's to show up in leetlaucher but cant get them to work in pioneer igo.

I just went out to my car and put the gfx folder where he said and still no sky's. He definately must be using the leetlauncher igo and not the pioneer igo.

sky with clouds or night with stars doesnt work only if u have R3 igo.

Anybody wanna post which they are using? I find a lot of them to be too hard to see street names, or hard on the eye's... The Realview nights are a good example, way too yellow.

I have a Pontiac Grand Prix and all of my interior lighting is red. When I downloaded these themes I came across Monopoly Nite and love the setup, but all of the roads are blue. Can anyone help me in figuring out what vales must be changed in the file to maintain black ground but change all of the road colors to red? Thanks in advance for any help.

For us poor avic 8.0 users have no clouds, I find the sky much to bright.

I would guess... in the color.ini file for the scheme there's a line:

3d_sky = 0, 255,255,255

I suppose it does the brightest setting for the sky bitmap, setting scheme to full white. Change it to something more subdued. I.e. here's one from Pioneer Blue Day:

3d_sky = 0,100,174,231

Not much guidance, other than comments inside schemes themselves. You could try searching for iGO Scheme Editor, but it is very very beta...

Ok sorry i am a noob but whith the schemes do i need to copy cursor_places.spr from cdommon to common/night directory in DATA.ZIP and if so can i use the the keyboard in testmode to copy it. If so is it is Alt+C correct someone please help i dont wanna do this wrong Thank you in advance.. Thank YOu..

No, since it is inside a ZIP archive, and file explorer in AVIC does not handle those, you need to do it on a PC...

there are a total of 4 zip files with multiple zip files and .png files. Do you unzip the 4 original files and add each zip within those files 1 by 1 or just add the 4 zip files to the directory. Please help. Thank you

Thank you Boris so basically copy that file onto my sd card copy that file i need into the other folder on my computer then stick that into the folder on the avic in testmode correct.. Kevin
