The AVIC is now working great! The boot-time, button-response and the screen layout were my biggest disappoints when buying the AVIC.
They are all solved now!
This is the image I am trying to use and the Alpha channel looks correct based on my comparison to other .bmp images I pulled from the Data file.

Keeper, any chance of developing a shortcut button on the map screen to bring up your buttonbar? That way we can show and hide it?

As far as I can tell you would have to make a little custom script that set a variable...
Then make a button like this

now don't go putting this in your data zip it is just and example to give Borris a good starting point

I would put all of shortcut buttons into a separate layer and then something like 'runif quick.icons.visible 1 ui_MyButtons,Hide elserun ui_MyButtons.show'
