I am doing the newest SWI-JACk tomorrow in a '04 540i on a 700BT.

Sure hope it is the new revision...cause if it isn't, I am gonna find one and swap it out later.

Will post results soon.

Luke

FYI, the SWI-JACK is not the correct part for a 700BT.

Hey everyone,

I have been reading your post...

I spoke to PAC last week and they advised that the unit may be available by mid March, depending if the old stock is sold out...

I was advised in an email that the new revsion would be 1.6.5, this was from an email from PAC's tech support...

The part is now shipping and has been for a couple of weeks. The version number is 1.6.7

If the part is shipping, do you know where I can order one from?

Crutchfiled just ordered a big quantity, but make sure you specify the new version. I assume most dealers will try to move old stock first.

I picked one up the other day. it has a big blue sticker on the packaging that has the Bluetooth symbol on it. I didn't think anything about it until reading this post. I'll see if I can get more info off of it when i get home today.

I got it from a reseller on Amazon. I believe it was CarAudioDeals.

Yeah, I misspoke. SWI-PS.

We only have the old ones, as you would know.

Here are some pics of my new SWI-PS.

You can see that there is a big Bluetooth logo on the front. It is version 1.6.7.

Thanks for the pics, Chayse!

Anyone know if this new unit has a quicker response than the old model?

The old model can get frustrating to use when its response is finicky and slow

i just installed mine a few days ago and it works great with very minimal if any at all lag. i was actually surprised how well it worked considering what ive read about the earlier model. the only thing that i have not figured out is during the programming stage, how to skip a button .. i would like to use the answer call for the bluetooth.. anyone know how ..

Just purchase mine last week from car audio deals through amazon and it is the new version. Its the blue one with the Pioneer bluetooth features labeled on the package. It works great.

Just push the PROGRAM button for every feature you want to skip.

Installed new version this weekend and works great with no lag. The only annoying thing about the AVIC is the KEY Beeps that occur when the volume from steering wheel control is pressed. Sure that there might be a hack for that-- key beeps on volume only? Had to use the 5900K Ohm resistor between interface and ground to use the 'MODE' button on my 08 civic.

I am looking to add the new unit to my F90BT, but have a question about the harness. Will I be able to use the old harness that i currently have with old PAC SWI-PS or am i going to have to use the new harness and do some rewiring? I am hoping I can just unplug the old one and plug in the new one, but I can't find instructions anywhere for the new unit. Thanks in advance.

Did you use the Bluetooth button function on the new PAC unit? If so, what button is it synced to on your Civic? Thanks.

Posted Mar 25, 2009 · 21:32 UTC#48

mine is the blue one, but didn't have the sticker saying anything about pioneer bluetooth functions. Is this the new one or should I return it. Was planning to install it on friday.

Do the steering wheel buttons work as intended with this new unit (for XM)? With the older unit, when you hit the next station button on the steering wheel, the F90 would change to the next station, not the next preset station.

Anyone got the bluetooth button to work yet? I have an "ANSWER CALL" and "END CALL" button on my Infiniti that I'd like to use....
