Ummmmm, I think so. It sounds right. It does not say you have amps. Im assuming you do so yes. I have not used that harness so as long as it makes its own door chime in the harness module you should be good to go. If it is like the metra one that routes the chime through the speaker then no!

If this does not help or if your confused then PM me and ill review all your parts and go from there.

Tell me what part number you ordered. Most all give you the VSS and E-brake in the wiring harness. I use the metra GMOS01 and it does the data conversion and gives reverse/VSS/E-brake all in the plug behind the radio.

if not then the

VSS is GREEN/BLACK AT PCM. PCM IS IN THE FRONT LEFT OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

E-BRAKE IS LIGHT BLUE ANT THE FOOT BRAKE (E-BRAKE) SWITCH. IT SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE TOP BACK OF THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY.

I wasn't clear in my earlier post, I will be adding an amp and speakers at the same time as the pioneer(no amp in truck now). Do I still need the same chime adapter, then wire preamps to amp , not connect factory speaker harness to new headunit, and just run new speaker wires from new amp?

From what I read on the PAC CR2-GM24 is that it makes the chime from its own little box, which is good for you. just hook it up as it says. Just yellow, red, black, and then do not connect the speakers out from the radio. Tape them up. Run the remote and RCAs and hook up the 4CH amp output to the car side of the of the speakers. so the amp plays its output into the car side of the wiring harness and it will go out to all the speakers. Just make sure the radio outputs are NOWHERE in the loop or you will burn out the radios output stage and it will smoke.

Sounds like you know whats up.

Hit me back if you have any other questions.

I ordered the PAC SWIPS, CM-1, OS-2 Bose. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I think I'm going to order all my stuff today. I'm thinking about doing everything at once, f90bt,5 channel amp, sub, component speakers in front, coax in back, maybe even headrest monitors. I'll let you know how it turns out.

hello, i have a couple questions.. i have an 07 cobalt SS supercharged and was wondering where the vss wire and reverse wire are? im going to be putting in the f90bt and i had to buy the gmos lan 4 wiring harness to keep onstar and my pioneer 7 speaker system and door chimes. and also, i bought the pac swi-ps and im confused on one of the parts on the instructions.. it says: Connect pin 14 (white/black) in connector 2 to +12v accessory. im guessing i have to tap into this wire? but how? thanks alot

theE40punisher, I've received my f90bt, waiting on adapters, speakers and amp. I went with a Profile ap740 (4 channel) and 4 reference component 6020cs. I'll add a mono block and sub later. I've already moved the mute wire in the plug. I think I'll install the headunit and run rca's behind back seat for amp and then pay for amp and speaker install. I want to add headrest monitors at some point and will run component video cable with preamps. My question is how do I get audio to the monitors? I didn't see any plug for this on the back of the unit. I guess since the f90bt is not dual zone most people just listen through the sound system, but on long trips that gets annoying. I'm starting to think it may be better to just add a 2nd dvd player in back and be done with it.

Hi Punisher!

Can you tell me where to find the vss wire on my 1995 JDM 300zx tt.

Should I be looking at the ECM or behind the instrument cluster. I've been told it should be a yellow/green wire, is this correct?

Many thanks,

Ade.

I am working on an 07 GTI, trying to install the f900bt. I bought the metra wiring harness from circuit city yesterday, but apparently the system is turning on by itself with no key in the ignition switch.

Its just always on and I can't turn it off. Can you help me with which wire I could fix this with?

Punisher!!

Thanks for confirming my question, it's a great help. One thing though, when you say I/P connector, I presume you mean the big plug that fits into the ECM?

Oh yeah, forgot to ask if you happen to know the colours of the reverse gear switch/wires.

Cheers mate!

It should be behind your instrument cluster. Reverse wire is---GREEN/WHITE in the DRIVERS KICK PANEL. VOLTAGE IS (+)

I installed a 90FBT in my 08 Tundra Crew Max and I had to use a premium sound interface for the JBL speakers in the doors to work. The issue is the harness does not connect the illumination wire from the rear of the head unit to any harness. Could you help me find the illumination wire for a tundra w/ JBL. Thanks.

:? can you help on an install for a 2001 VolVo V70, no factory navigation OEM radio still installed. I need the VSS, Illumination and the Reverse wire locations. Battery is at the rear of the vehicle. I'm not sure if I should purchase the Pioneer ND-BC2 or Audivox. What would you recommend? How about Satellite Radio? I know Pioneer makes the HD, XM,and Sirrius Adapters. Preferences anyone? Thanks awaiting Help Please!
