THE TWO FILES ARE NOT THERE I THINK IT BECUASE THE LINK DONT WORK ANY MORE? PLZ HELP I REALLY WANT TO FIX IT?

Few days ago I tried to update my Avic F90BT when all hell broke loose. The update failed, and I couldn't get my unit working. It just kept on rebooting....even testmode didnt work. Here is what I did to do a complete wipe and reset back to factory 2.0

You will need a USB drive and 2 SD cards or 3 SD cards.

1. Go to http://avic411.com/f...hp?f=34&t=24888 and download backup files for your unit. Save it on a formatted (FAT 32) 2GB or higher SD card or a UBS drive (recommended)

2. From above, copy the WINCEIMG.bin and WINCEIMG.cks to a different, formatted SD CARD (NO USB DRIVES)

3. Use another formatted SD card for testmode file. See http://avic411.com/f...hp?f=32&t=25329

4. Disconnect any USB connections connected to your unit (Ipod, USB drive). Power it up. When the pioneer logo comes up, press and hold the menu, map, eject and the reset button at the same time. When you hear a pop sound from your speakers, let go of the eject button but continue to hold menu and map buttons. This will bring you to a blue screen where you will have to enter the service combination. Press the volume knob in this sequence and you will see * signs for each push: Up, Up, Down, Menu, Left, Right.

5. Once there, go to the option that says Update WinCE. Be careful with not to press the knob while trying to move up and down, or you might press the wrong choice by accident.

6. Insert into the unit the SD card that has WINCEIMG.bin and WINCEIMG.cks on it (STEP 2)

7. Select Update using SD/USB (format) option. This will format your FlashDisk removing any corrupted files on there that prevent the unit from loading.

8. Wait for the update to finish. When the prompt says to restart your unit, take out the SD, put in the testmode SD card and restart.

9. If testmode starts normally, you see the windows screen and it does not reboot in couple of seconds, ignore this step. If not, download the latest update from Pioneer, put it on the SD card that contained WINCEIMG.bin and WINCEIMG.cks (format it first) and perform an update. Testmode should be working once this is done.

10. When in windows, plug in the USB drive with the backup you downloaded in Step 1.

11. Go to start, control panel, Storage.

12. Unmount FlashDisk, and press FORMAT.

13. Once formatted, create a new partition and call it part0. Mount it back up.

14. Copy ALL files from USB drive backup to FlashDisk This should take about 40 min or so

15. Take out any SD cards from the unit and reboot.

Thats it! This should solve any problems! :D

I CANT DOWNLOAD THE FIRST 2

Posted Jan 16, 2012 · 23:57 UTC#103

I just downloaded and updated my AVIC-F90BT with software version 3.x. The file copying part went without a hitch. When I reset the system after file copy operation, I was prompted to select language. After I selected "English as my language, I was prompted to choose voice language. As soon as I selected English TTS, the system rebooted and since then stays not he Pioneer splash screen. It never goes further than the Pioneer logo.

I have tried it several times and had no luck. I even deleted the partition and recreated it but still no luck.

Please help....

I have formated SD cards and have the wince files

I too made the testmode SD card.

This set seems problematic. Anyone out there can help?

Do I depress all the buttons before turing on? Or turn it on and depress all the buttons? It just freeze with blue screen on the wince options but just wont proceed.

And no u press everything all together hear a pop then release either the reset then the othe three(pretty sure) or vis verse the three buttons then the reset.. You will get a blue screen where u put the service code in and it will bring u to the service option.. I'm not just what it is I always just search it before trying... I can't do anything with out the wince files... And the back ups I beg u have a heart and share hating pioneer..

Hey, I don't know if you've solved your issue yet, but I sure had a ton of similar problems a few months back. I took my unit out - didn't take very long - and sent it to Turbo Tunes for the reset. Works great now. Cost $120 and is all updated with current OS, etc.

turbotunes.com

Check 'em out.

I am also having issues with mine, with the using stuck in a constant reboot loop.

The turbotunes.com option seems good, but I would rather not have to ship my radio internationally and be without it for a long amount of time, and honestly would much rather not have to pay 120$.

So if nayone has these files, I would also be very thank-full.

I installed firmware version 3.0 from eBay store Kofat. It was $29 and works flawlessly. Good luck!

Anyone have the files needed for this? My F90BT just started doing this..... Not sure what version I'm on......

And if I find 3.0 would installing that fix my problem too? Thx! :?

Read the pinned threads up top. Fix in 2 before you do 3

Posted Aug 04, 2012 · 09:09 UTC#116

I tried using a 2.0 backup but it didn't work... so I did it again but this time I was able to get it working by copying the 3.0 backup files instead which upgraded me at the same time! Woot! Going to try to upgrade to 4.0.... but what does 4.0 provide since it doesn't come with maps?

2nd question is, since it doesn't come with maps, I should be able to copy the maps folder from the 3.0 to the 4.0 and load that right? Thoughts? Thx! My AVIC Boots up so much faster now too.... I'm currently uploading the files to my web server so I will mirror these files for everyone to share since BT is unreliable most of the time. Thanks!

If you live on east cost of US you will be all set. If you live in west coast may need some PIOs. You can go into APL2 igo content PIOs and Map files and see what's in there.

Yes you can copy 3.0 maps but would defeat purpous of update as its primarily maps.

So why doesn't 4.0 come with the updated maps for USA? It doesn't make any sense. Can someone please post a complete copy of 4.0? Thanks!

The 4.0 isn't real it's a Hybrid. Go to hacks mods section to read more about it. Overall be happy there is that much. If you want to create your own compilation with maps feel free.

Correct. That's what you had from within that torrent but you can not fit all US and Canada with all states PIO

Try running a pioneer firmware update for 2.07 after you've flashed wince

Posted Nov 22, 2012 · 04:03 UTC#125

Does anyone have a direct link or a torrent to these files to fix a rebooting AVIC-F90BT?

Thanks!
