1) Does this torrent has 8.0 maps or it has the new maps 8.3 ??

2) Does this update have the option of 2D (NOT north!) ?

3) Well this update works only on US units or i can add it to my Europe unit?

4) Since it is for US, and assume that it has 8.3 maps... i have to find and download some european 8.3 maps correct?

5) What is this 3.1 update that i saw here? News saw it before today.

Yep. I put on my EU unit: the new WinCE, the hacked Ezrider+License+2008 maps, the V3 APL folder. Runs smoothly and fast. I'm happy.

I wish I could pay someone to do the upgrade for me. I have the 900 with the ezrider mod that was provided in a all in one package and I dont want to lose it. Updating to 3.0 firmware, will the updating cause me to lose the ezrider all in one mod?

With the new 3.0 firmware I can finally play most divx files... on the 2.xx firmware it would barely play any files that I tried without converting them to mp4. Now it'll play everything i've thrown at it so far! Also, the responsiveness of the SD card menu is better (still really slow though). Thanks again OP!

I take it the answer to my question (Updating to 3.0 firmware, will the updating cause me to lose the ezrider all in one mod?) is yes. So once I have upgraded to 3.0 all I have to do is reload the ezrider hack and I should be good. I am sorry for trying to get a detail answer. I just don’t want to brick my unit. I don’t want to go through the frustration and aggravation it may cause.

I guess the hacker EZRIDER.EXE version you have is the only one there, the 2.007. The maps you have are the old post-2008, has tested with the 2009 maps we have now installed the IGO 8.0?

Thanks for your help - however, I am a bit confussed about the ezrider hack working with the 3.0 upgrade. This is what I am understanding from what you said- 3.0 is the hardware upgrade and I should not affect the ezrider hack because that is a software modification. Please correct me if I am wrong. We all want the latest and the greatest but no one wants to brick their unit.

Yes I did, I tried the testmode included with this tutorial, and I downloaded the newest version from a seperate thread as well. Neither works.

And to test it I booted into windows and formatted the card + put on test mode - same thing.

Just curious, for F500BT unit, is it possible to just update the APL and Maps portion from this torrent download package, without the upgrading Windows CE. As there is concerns that WIndows CE is not compatible with F500BT model.

Sorry for the confusion.

- I had the latest 2.07 on my EU unit.

- I used the testmode 2.3 to put on the hacked exrider+generic license.

- i installed the newest maps for iGO 8.0 (maps says sumthing with 2008)

- I updated WinCE then.

- i copied the APL folder from a US Version 3

So i'm running a hybrid of V2 (the navigation plus 8.0 maps) and V3 (the rest of the software). To pimp up the old navigation i installed Yuri's mod that brings me closer to iGO 8.3.

I hope i could make it clear.

Hello, have a quick question..and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have upgraded my unit (F700BT) to the 3.0 Firmware. Everything is working fine (with the exception of the road labels in 3D mode but I can live with that). However I do have one problem still, I have been unable to instal the 3.01 update..when I do the System Start Up graphic stays displayed and the unit reboots, I just went back to 3.0 to fix this. When I am in Testmode and I check the CE version it says 5.0 despite the fact I did the CE upgrade using the files from the X-series 3.01 update folder. Am I not successfully updating my CE firmware? Is that possible since I am successfully using the 3.0 firmware? Again, any help would be appreciated.

My tip for everyone is use winrar not winzip!

I have the 3.0 update installed and working fine. Now I am trying to get the navi mods back.

So I tried just pasting in my modded data.zip that I was using with FW 2. No luck. It hangs at the system startup message.

Does anyone know if there are additional files that I need to bring over from my FW 2 backup to make this work?

Or do I just need to wait for someone to mod the 3.0 data.zip file?
