So I reinstalled 3.0 v4 and it would just stay at "system startup" so I installed 3.5 it works except when I attach my Ipod, it causes my head unit to go into a restart loop. any ideas??

couple of questions

1)did you delete the contents of the save folder?

2)what unit do you have?

Yes I deleted contents of save folder, I have the f7010bt

Reinstalled 3.01 data zip, still rebooting, think it may be a hardware issue, any ideas? Have ipod touch.\

Anything I need to worry about before I take in for warranty work? Don't think it has anything to do with software side.

it appears that you have a corrupt file somewhere, try redownloading the v4 and then installing it again,

Just wanted to say, I downloaded IDT v4, followed all the instructions, and it works great.

Hey IDT,

I finally ventured (with v4 installed) onto a road that had speed limit data (none of the maps for the roads near home here on Vancouver Island seem to have that data). Anyway, when I do get the speed limit signs showing, it's showing the KPH as if it was converting the posted speed limit as if posted was MPH. So, if speed limit is 100km/h, my speed limit icon shows 161 (100MPH = 161 KPH).

I remember reading about this before on someone's earlier mod, but I can't track down what the solution was. Any quick ideas?

could you post the location were it's showing wrong speedlimit, what map are you using? when i tested out the new TA maps it did show that the speedlimit data was wrong, i'm still currently using the map included in the x910 download because i find that most the data stored in the maps are close to accurate

i have the same script as CMH and ever since we the mobile camera speed is not being saved,

if you're going to look at the script that you posted you'll notice that it's the same one with what you're using, not sure what the problem is regarding tripcomputer as not all users that have it are having the same problem, as for me i it works all the time,

but even if you add it if you're main tripcomp would not work 100% of the time then i would suggest not to as it won't be useful anyway, but if you really want to you could add

I added that code to the nav file and the trip computer worked but it was only because i loaded a fresh copy of the data.zip file. It stinks that the trip computer doesn't work.

A couple of quick questions;

- Is 4.0 still beta?

- Have you fixed the TC?

- How about street names in 3D. Are they showing up above 500'?

I was wrong blaming it to wrong settings of the latitude/Longitude setting, was propably a coincidence. It seems to come from the spoken speedcam alert for a certain type of mobile cam. (100km) When you disable spoken warning, no reboot, even when you enable audible warning: No reboot. Unfortunately the audible warning setting is not beeing saved and has to be set manually upon every restart of the system.

One more thing on the Speedcams: It seems to me that you are not able to set the direction correctly. I had one red light cam added manually to the system and no matter which direction I set, it always alerts me the wrong way. It worked perfect under stock 3.0

as for the reboot, one thing i can think of is regarding the issue of not being able to set speed on mobile cameras, what i did now is removed all the other spoken warning for mobile camera and it would just say mobile camera,

audible warning is fixed on the next update,

for the directions i will look into it

when im done, the firmware will be at 2.006

i was using cmh's mod previous to this rebooting problem, and i seem to be making enough progress now to think about putting a new mod on my unit.

will this mod (IDT 3.0 BETA) work on my unit with the 2.006 firmware?

maybe i have to grab the other mod from the topic "IDT v4.2 on p46, last for 2.0"?

just trying to make sure i dont brick my unit or have to put myself through any avoidable hassle.
