Diaftia -

I just installed your latest mod update they are great. I guess scheme friendly means no scheme added.

Could you either add the scheme and clip-planes.ini that you are using to the mod or post separately with instructions to add. I do not want to screw up what I already have. Also, for all of us in the over 60 club could you make the realtime speed display about twice as big. I know it is added work for you but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your mods.

3D buildings are not working in 3.0. If you have 2.0 they work but not yet in 3.0. I think this was talked about by NSEW back on page 2 and 3.

Schemes are handled outside of the data.zip. When I say my mods are scheme friendly that means that whatever scheme you want to put onto your AVIC my mods should support. Do a search for Scheme and there should be threads with links on how to get schemes onto your Avic. I have always been happy with the original scheme so I have not really looked into it but enough to make sure my mods supported them for people that want to use them.

Regarding the current speed; I should have a solution for people that think the Current speed and elevation are too small. A significant update should be coming in the next day or so. I have one detail that I need to work out and once I do I will have it posted up.

I assume then that since I live in a non populated area and am using the pioneer scheme my screen looks white as VS color for the land portions. Thanks again for the great mods. I am looking forward to the updates.

I think the current speed might just need to be made bold with a clean style font. Just my thoughts. Thanks for listening.

is it possible to use igo8 maps?

You mean load the old maps on the new unit? Not sure that solves the problem with 3D buildings.

However, running different maps is part of the EZRider.exe and associated license file. That is all done independent of these mods. All of those files are in the APL2/Igo directory.

I`m just not sure which ver. of Igo I have. Igo8.0 or Igo 8.3. Before I modificated to your mod i hade 3.01 orginal firmware from pioneer. It says 3.01 usw Igo 8.3 ??

Conversely, I think the current speed and elevation are too big. I'd prefer they not be there at all because I have a speedometer in my car and I don't care how high above sea level I am. Just voicing another side of things.

I hear you... finding the right balance is key. I think my next release will fix a lot of these. For you, and the other people that don't like anything there, its easy enough to comment those out of the navigatemap800 file with a semi-colon. All additions I have made are clearly marked in sections.

Thanks for that! I just commented them out and it's awesome.

I'm a willing contestant. I understand how to make some changes, but don't know what to do with the change sometimes to get it implemented (like the elevation bitmap, larger, but now to do what with it?). I'd be willing to try to help you with things. Just let me know what I can do to help.

Edit: I received the file last night. I love the large speedometer from the touch of Your Speed sign. Also the Cruise Dials are great. Everything seems to be working. I just installed it this morning. I'm now on my way to work and I'll test things out some more. As before, I love the 'clean' screen. Let you know more as I know more.

  • 1. Gurjon Speedo Screen
    • A) There is a custom grid on this screen so tha the background is easily customizable. Black background and OSX Aurora included as default. Open the data.zip and edit the speedometer800_400.ui file. The instructions are clearly marked for editing. Black background is included. If you want this over the Aurora then comment it out with a semicolon and and remove the semicolon from the Back background line. Be careful if you pick a background that is too light as you will have to create a custom grid and change all the fonts to a darker color.
      B) Access by quick menu or touching current speed sign
      C) Added the ability to see the route detail when on speedo screen by touching any of the items on the left (next turn, time to turn, etc)
      D) Speedcam functionality added so you will see the add cam icon change to a speedcam display with distance. When it passes it will go back to a add cam icon.

2. Multi Route functionality, Icon appears in quick menu when in route.

3. Gurjon Cruise dial screen

  • A) As with the speedial screen the background is easily customizable. Black background and OSX Aurora included as default. Open the data.zip and edit the DestinationDial_800_480.ui file. The instructions are clearly marked for editing. Black background is included. If you want this over the Aurora then comment it out with a semicolon and and remove the semicolon from the Back background line.
    4. Enlarged Elevation sign and font

5. Gurjon animated map cursor

6. Signpost made smaller so it doesn't overlap anything on the map screen

7. Current Speed sign font made bold.

There is an extra font added to this build. You can delete DS-DIGI.ttf from your system but you need to make sure you add digital.ttf.

Links on page 1 updated.
