Here's what I did to get internet going on my F500BT with the Spectec SDW-821. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work on the other AVIC's. Attached is the link to required files.

Download attached file and extract to a folder. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W6U10ZD4 .Inside you will find:

1. The Spectec driver for CE 5.0. To install simply copy to your flash disk and double-click on the cab file. Once done, insert your wifi card and it will detect and launch the wifi manager. At this point you can connect to your wifi network and add the key if required.

2. The Opera browser edited to work on CE 5.0 without install. Open the rar archive on your pc to follow the simple readme installation instructions for this one.

That's it!

NOW...... can we make our own phones a hotspot or something like that?...... I have never had to look into this as I have a pc card for my laptop that works anywhere with Cingular/AT&T..... can my phone be used somehow?

If you have a windows mobile phone with wifi, u can get a program called wmwifirouter, then the phone would act as a access point using ur phone data plan.

If the palm card is a generic of some sort it might. Nothing will happen if you try plugging it in after installing the driver, and see if the connection manager pops up. We can also search for more details about your card if you have a model number & closeup pic.

Hi miotoo, i don't have the wifi sd card, but i tryed to connect my usb dongle wifi (d-link dwl-122) but it seems to don't work... i even tryed using some drivers (for win ce, found on internet) but nothing happens because it don't install them... i even tryed to save the dll file in /windows, but nothing.

Have you any idea for it?

by the way, i tryed to start opera, then the hourglass appears and soon disappears, i have the avic F900bt Ver. 2.007000

you need to jailbreak the iPhone to get it to tether. With the new 3.0 Iphone firmware its supposed to be a STANDARD feature be the end of the summer. Anyday now.

I was under the impression WinCE and WM are closely related, this is just from reading the forums and having people refrence using their wm devices like the AT&T tilt to run the avic software start up screen to check images/themes, soooo I'm talking out of my ( ( ). I used opera on my tilt until I found skyfire on xda-developers and it was way better due to the streaming capabilities, imo
