Sadly the Bluetooth in our AVICs isn't a full-featured one, it's a phone and serial port only device made by Parrot. It looks like the Navi board communicates with the Bluetooth module over a serial or USB connection and uses Parrot's DLL/driver to run the board, rather than a full Bluetooth stack that can talk to HID devices.

I couldnt find the answer really on all posts.

Can you use a wm phone with Hspda/gprs internet on the Avic via the USB cable?? So without using the wifi card.

Tried several things but nothing happens.

I was wondering if anyone knows if when the iPhone is connected via the cable can it send/receive TCP/IP traffic to the unit?

This could mean we could just setup opera to use a proxy on the ip address of the [jailbroken] iphone to get to the internet. The advantage of that method would be that we would not need a wifi adapter..

I can confirm my Spectec SDW-821 works with the AVIC-F90BT.

i have a 910Bt and after i installed the driver nothing happens, no lights on the card or anything, i have the Spetec 921 card, can i assume my card is broken? i mean since there's no lights on it?

Here's what I did to get internet going on my F500BT with the Spectec SDW-821. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work on the other AVIC's. Attached is the link to required files.

 

Download attached file and extract to a folder. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W6U10ZD4 .Inside you will find:

 

1. The Spectec driver for CE 5.0. To install simply copy to your flash disk and double-click on the cab file. Once done, insert your wifi card and it will detect and launch the wifi manager. At this point you can connect to your wifi network and add the key if required.

2. The Opera browser edited to work on CE 5.0 without install. Open the rar archive on your pc to follow the simple readme installation instructions for this one.

 

That's it!
