Looks like this one 3.000300 is older than 3.00100. Count the zeros 3.00100 vs 3.000300

Guys the title says 900, 700, 500 so yes, it is for the 500

when the dealer was updating my system i saw on top of the instructionpaper also the f500.

so i asume it also wroks on the f500, i would apreciate if someone could confirm this, otherwise i'll remove the 500 from the topic title.

Pioneer screwed up big time with the 3.x updates and their description. All of them have the 3 models in the APL & DATA description files, while only F700BT & F900BT appear in the PLT (platform ie. wince) file.

One would assume that there is a specific PLT file for the F500 however, looking at the file inside the CNSD-150FM update SD card # 2, dedicated by marketing to the F500BT we find:

Where is F500BT then...

May be they just cut'n'pasted the description. Because F500 does have different WinCE image from other units...

So 500 should be removed from the topic title to avoid confusion.

Did I say thanks !!!!!!!!!!!! , been using it for a week now and finding it a big improvement, missing my GTIMATT mod but am sure some good mods for 3 with a European style will come.

But we can use the APL2 folder from this download to make a 80% update. Now I have the IGO 8.3 on my 500 .

No need to update WIN CE.

I received a mail from Pioneer, the CNSD150FM update is concentrated on the map update (sorry for my english...) and so it has to be payed. Maybe sometime they will provide a free firmware. But on the AVIC is IGO8.0 and 8.0 maps, but for better use they have to provide IGO8.3 and the 8.0 maps won´t work... I don´t believe that they will pimp the IGO8.0...

So thank you for this download !!!

I just updated my 2.1 to 3.0 using Tomolas files and it works perfect so far.

EDIT:

After accessing testmode "My Flash Disk" got somehow corrupted for some reason. I only had there 3 files and a folder. One file had three squares instead of the name .In properties it said that Flash Disk is 1.59 gb, but those files and a folder were like 584kb all together. Did format again and copied the Flash Disk. Works again, so hopefully it was only a glitch.

You need to download all 3 files to the some folder, then unpack all 3 files .rar files to one folder (you only need to unpack 1 folder and winrar will unpack all 3)

I renamed the files,i added (part1) (part2) (part3)

First thing to do is download the last testmode and make a complete Backup (2GB SD needed) like the step 1 here

Then, winceimg.bin & winceimg.cks are also contained in the firmware 3.0003 folder (My Flash Disk)and put them on a SD

Make sure you follow all the steps

When you finished, start the system, use reset button, wait until it starts and then use Delete User Information touching [Restore/Delete] on the “System Settings” in the Setting Menu doing so you have a all settings default

Anyway, I'm waiting for 3.02 eu firmware now
