With the standard hacked ezrider using gps.elevation as the text model, the elevation will display in feet up to 5279 feet. It then switches to 1 mile XXX ft.
Any text model using altitude the unit will display feet up to 879 then it will switch to tenths of miles, ie 0.2, and so forth.
So then there is no way to get what I want it seems. That sucks. I just want feet to show between 880 - 5279, without the text "ft".

what you could do is make the elevation background wider or make the text smaller,

Yup, just change the size of the elevation sign from '60 x 40' to '80 x 53'
.
Which lines are these, maybe that is the solution for the forum members with trip computer not working

I can have it shipped to you from Ohio. I may have one here but I think the batteries are all dead on the ones I have.

thanks for the offer, my buddy's notebook is a chep one, i think he only got it for ~$300 about half a year ago, he said he'd sell it to me for ~100, only reason i'm getting his is i'm selling mostly all of my stuff to get by until i get another job, damn this economy sucks, i really appreciate the help
can you tell me what causes the system and navi settings to be locked, it has happened before after adding mods but it usually unlocks after a few minutes but last night i went back to a virgin 3.0 and then upgraded to 30.2 and i haven't had access to the 2 menus since. I want to make a factory 3.02 backup and then mod from there so i can have an up to date backup to revert to.

the only thing i could think of is that you need to do the software bypass on the 3.02, everytime pioneer updates they tend to iclude virgin copies of everything
I just did a complete upgrade of firmware 3.02 and the IDT Skin#2 mod. Everything seems to be okay except now I get the windows startup sound when the system starts. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

yes, rename what ever start up sound you want to use to !welcome and place it in the audio folder inside data.zip

Lastly, I don't have this tab (custom) in my settings screen? Any idea where I can find it. I did see in the Nav settings, there is a welcome notification or something in the area where you change the navigation text colors. Is that it? Cause it is on, but I am not getting a windows start up sould like I was earlier in the week when the problems went awry.

that is the setting for it, not sure why it's not working, will take a look at it again and i will let you know before i leave on friday,
