Hey Abb

Looks good!

Where did you end up finding the file for the AV display on the on map picture, where it displays the song title?

Thanks

It was in the image.res, in the AV folder. It was in smaller bars as it was a collapsable menu. That is why I had a problem finding it. I was looking for a larger file.

Ah gotcha, Is it the OM030 and OM031.

Thanks

Just in case anyone else wants to change the color of the "Redblast Theme" for the collapsable menu for the song info.

The file names are 746_32K_OM-030_24b and 746_32K_OM-031_32b

Well, this is a side project that I was working on as I wanted a NAV mod that was exclusive for my Chrome theme. This was originally IDT's skin 3 map because of the many features (Phone, mapchanger, AV hide button), however, I totally redesigned it as I found that all those large icons were covering too much real estate, so I came up with this alternative.

NAV MOD WITH AV .... AND BIGASS CLOCK!

I am still working on it. I haven't decided yet if I am going to post it or not. I just dont have the time to troubleshoot working 14 hr days. I still have to get this perfected though before I do anything.

Abb.Installed the image.res on to diafitas mod and it looks superb. No problems with brightness as far as i'm concerned. Also like what you have done to IDT'S mod :)

Thanks, I am glad that the brightness is not affecting anybody. IDT's mods are beyond excellent, I just found that his skin3 had the screen to congested with large icons. I like a mod that is feature rich but yet also leaves a clear screen. That is what i have always liked about Diaftias mod, the fact that the icons were hidden, however, now that the mapchanger has come to light, I can't be without it, so I just made an alternative. It may not be everyones cup of tea, but it suits my purpose. I still have some work to do on it though as the info button hides the phone button and makes it inoperatable when navigating. This was an oversight and I need to change this as I need my phone button when navigating :)

Sorry for my bad English, I use a translator.

Abb, Thank you for your mod !

I installed the file in my F900BT (europe version) and it is great!

I found a couple of minor flaws, nothing important, maybe concerning only the installation avic Europe.

In this photo you can see what happens when tuning to an FM radio which provides the RDS data of the station:

http://www.ceb-al.it/prova/pic_varie/img_0028.jpg

Some written overlapping the logo Avic and are not readable

Another small graphic problem ,when I open the menu "AV Source", the words "MediaCenter" is partially covered by the words "AV2".

My avic and my car, says :

Thanks, thanks, thanks! :D:D:D

Hmmm, I have never had RDS Data, so that is new to me. Is that a Europe thing?

The Media Centre sign should have no effect on the 'AV Source', as it is not there. View the pic, maybe, that is not what you mean?

Yes, it is a function used only in Europe. Broadcast radio receivers may send additional information in text format. (Example the title of a song or the telephone number of the radio station, etc. etc.)

Screen "AV SOURCE" in my europe unit, is different from the U.s. unit:

....even the fonts in my unit are the old ones..

If I can help you, I can do all the tests that need,in my unit.

Does this theme work with IDT 2.0 or only the dafia mod? or Both?

Posted Mar 11, 2010 · 18:51 UTC#40

Should work with any mod, replaces the image file. I have it on IDT #1. Doesn't affect the naviagtion.

Posted Mar 12, 2010 · 03:23 UTC#41

I have made some changes of the Nav portion of this Mod. I have made it so that the phone button is now available while navigating. I have also made the info screen work while driving regularly as well as navigating, and I have included a phone button in the Destination dial as well. Pictures on pg 2 have been updated.

Thanks, yeah, it is taking a while, now especially with the Nav section as I am just getting used to the s ripting end of it. I initially wanted an exclusive Nav part for myself, and now I would like to post it as well, but I don't think that I can because I have an F700, in otherwords, No MSN, No EU. I don't know if that will appeal to many people. Also, this mod is exclusive for the Chrome theme, so you would need it

I sent it to you. Test it out and let me know if there are any problems. REMEMBER- NO MSN!

As far as learning to code, it is fairly simple. The key thing is to get the practice and know what commands do. The best way is to make a copy of your Data.zip, use that for experimenting and just change stuff around to practice. The easy thing is that all shortcuts, icons, etc., are placed by pixel height and width starting at 0 for both at the top left corner. For the placement of shortcuts, icons, etc., x is the vertical position going to 480, and y is the horizontal position going to 800. Look at the coding to get familiar with the commands and keep in mind that most of the UI for the texture placement can be found in 800_480/UI folder while the actual hard coding can be found in COMMON/UI folder. When playing, always make sure that you have a backup of your present Data.zip. If the scripting is incorrect, then your system will boot until you hit the NAV part and you will have an error showing you what script it cannot find (LOL, I had lots). Then just fix it or replace your working Data.zip. Hope this helps.

Me, I dont take donations because the mods that I do, I do for myself! If it is good and people want to use it, I will share it! If I take donations, then I would be expected to make mods for others that I cant test myself (eg. MSN, EU, etc.) and I will be spending countless hours troubleshooting which I do not have time to do

Hey Abb

Thanks for the tutorial. I have used everyone of your schemes from the dates you release them.

I have also learned alot from your posts, which allows me to make suttle changes to my liking.

I'm still using your red blast theme because it matches the interior of my car the best, but the chrome theme, like all others, looks excellent.

Keep up the good work.
