Abb,

On another note, I compared both your versions 1.6 and 1.65, all I see are the changes for the quick menu, but didn't locate the change to fix the simulating route error.

Can you point me to it? ... just want to make sure that you didn't forget it :mrgreen:

Thanks.

.

It is fixed. Are you telling me that there are still problems? Let me know or I will have to pull the mods :(.

Hmmmm......I just tried it on my system by my PC and the route simulation works flawless. I will have to try to reupload my mods sometime this morning, maybe it didnt overwright the previous file when I uploaded. It is pointless to compare the two files as this was a very minor update and not many changes, just the fix and the 'QuickMenu' Make sure that you have the right file installed and try it again. The sinulation has never failed me since this update and I had no error messages as I found out what was causing it and it IS fixed.....100%

Just tested this morning: No more iGo error when simulating a route!!!

Where did you change that in the script?

Thanks.

I deleted the CSGPS button when installing the 1.6. The simulation was looking for this button and could not find it and that is what was causing the error. That button did not have anything to do with fuctionality and that is why it started after you got rid of the error message, however, this button was involved with the script starting, for what purpose, I dont know.

Thanks, I still constantly look for new ideas for changes, but this now pretty much has everything.

Lol, evertime I think that though, I change something :)

LOL, if you want to stop changing it, stop looking at it!

Things in life are never perfect, even if we say so some time, which keep us perfecting :wink:

Until next time ... Cheers!

I modified some parameters under [smartzoom] of the Sys.txt file, which change quite the angle of view during navigation maneuver for both Abb's mod and IDT skin #3 ... free to try:

[smartzoom]

restore_smartzoom_on=1

speedzoom=10

speedangle=10

minangle=70

maxangle=85

Abb, if I want to remove the speed frame that you have newly added, is this the only line that I have to remove from navigatemap_800_480.ui?

Thanks.

Abb,

Just put both your Nav and Theme on, and I really had to say AWESOME!!!!

WOW, I haven't been on the forum in moths due to personal family illness, and when I came back, it seemed like everyone had left. :(

Then I saw a link to this Completed Mods/Themes forum, and WOW!!!

This is Awesome!!!!

Great job putting this all together.

couple of quick questions I hope you have time for.

Where on the screen do I push to get my AV info back? or do I have to go to the AV main menu to change stations?

Second, after the top bar fades away, how do I get it back?

I know you laid out the screen with definitions, however, I can't find the "menu" button.

Great Job!!

All button info is in the first post. To get the AV back, just click on the AV button which is located 4th in from the right hand side

Second, after the top bar fades away, how do I get it back?

I know you laid out the screen with definitions, however, I can't find the "menu" button.

Great Job!!

If the fade is set to 100%, then click below the compass to get the menu up. If the fade is 75% & up, then the button is none existant as it is not required. The controld for the Fade Control is found in the Nav Settings, under the 'custom' tab. or whrn is the Quickmenu, click on the icon button and it will get you there quicker.

Abb, can you please tell me whether the bar in the middle of the "Load Route" screen is intentional of is a mistake? There is also something just above the "Load Route" banner (a box).

Could you tell me how to remove them?

Thanks.

That is something that was there prior. Was it there in a prior version of mine? I will have to look into it. I dont use the load route feature, so I have never really noticed it.

I redesigned the 'Destination Dial' into a more fuctional version. It is totally redesigned with current street at the top and a button added for the 'tracklog menu' and 'Fuel Calculator' while navigating. Give me your thoughts.

(lol, yeah, I do speed a bit :mrgreen:)

I just hope that you are only simulating or flying over, not actual speed ... however, I already see a pic of yours with >120 km/h ... be safe my friend :mrgreen: We need you here in the forum :wink:

I do like the new layout!

If you go into the "Saved Routes" screen (similar to the "Load Route" screen), it is perfect! No bars!

I will check later.

I do like the new layout!

Thanks, I am using it and testing it right now and I love it. I will probably add it in a future update if i get positive feedback for it.

Hey Abb,

I like this mod because it is still similar to mine and it will be easier to mod than Daftia's for that reason. I have a quick question for you and may have a couple more if you don't mind. Why is it that next to all the on map BMP's there is a #2 after the extension? Is the reason because there are 2 different size images of those bitmaps and by adding the #2 it uses the smaller of the icons? Please clarify.

Thanks in advance. Great mod.

The #2 after the bmp image means that it is one bmp with two pictures and two functions. If it has three pictures such as the 'IDT_onmap_call.bmp' button which has three fuctions (Normal, Press, inactive), then it will have a label such as 'IDT_onmap_call.bmp#3' in the code meaning that the button has three functions

I am in the process of changing the onmap buttons first, some i don't like and some bmp's are just not very clear, so i am just redoing them.

If i were to change them to just one bmp instead of two, would there be a huge impact and what are the functions, please explain? I noticed this a while ago in IDT's mod and never asked why there are 2 bmp's since i gave up on upgrading to the latest set of mods from CMH's mod and now I am making the leap. I guess i am asking, can i just replace the bmp's you have in your data to the single function one's i have in my data file?

Please bear with me as I am not a programmer, just a reverse engineer copier.

Thanks Abb.

One more request if possible. I used to be able to alpha mask the bmp's no problem with my previous photoshop following the directions of an old post "adding your own 2d car as the arrow" no problem, but when i got the new photoshop, i haven't been succesful in creating the onmap buttons. If it isn't too much trouble, can you give me a simple set of directions to follow? Much appreciated.

You can replace any button with just one image, but when you press it, it will remain motionless, like your just touching the screen, having the second image a little brighter or smaller, gives the simulation of it being pushed. That is the entire reason behind this.....realism!

I have used every photoshop except CS4 and they are all the same in that respect. Just follow the instructions you had prior. I am still using CS3 because it does what I need it too

I like that a lot. Then I will have to redo these files based on my images. I have seen these images before in IDT's mod, but although an EXCELLENT modder, not so great with the graphics, so I initially changed them even on his first mod that I was using.

So all I need to do is use my image, make the canvas longer and add a smaller version of the icon below the larger one. Is there a code in the nav.ui file that i need to add to the onmap buttons as well, like i guess the #2 after the bitmaps name? Because I also want to add a history button.
