Part of the 3.0 update is a firmware upgrade which upgrades the version of windows ce that the unit operates on. So in addition to the pioneer software, like the 3.0 update, this included the windows ce upgrade. This torrent includes everything to make your AVIC the most up todate including te 3.0201 update.

Sorry Retell, that's mistaken. The 3.0 update still uses Windows CE Version 5.00 as the base OS. The 6.2.2.4 Release Version you see under LPUE080PLT.HTM is probably Pioneer's internal build versioning system, not the CE Platform Builder release used to make the system image.

I tried to open the file but it says "Unknown" or damaged file.

How do open it? I use WinRar.

Thanks

Jimbo

I kept trying to download it and still same thing. Is there a special way to open the file or different program to open this?

It only downloaded 17.7K

Jimbo

Sounds like you are just "saving" the torrent file, as opposed to opening the torrent in a bittorrent client and "leeching" the entire file. As Retell said, look up bittorrent and download a client (i.e. Vuze). It will open up a whole new world for you!

Thanks I will try it!

Just wanted to express my appreciation for your doing this. Installed my first ever GPS/headunit, an F90 Saturday with base 2.0. Went straight to this after downloading the image last night and it works flawlessly. When I first installed the F90 the glitchiness, slow response and malfunctioning had a profoundly negative effect on my blood pressure.

I can't believe Pioneer doesn't release these things from the factory with this software and even the mods. Also, didn't have to ground the parking brake which was really nice...software took care of everything.

The only thing I'm noticing is that its 'forgetting' my illumi color settings every time i turn the car off...but all other settings are as I left them. It was doing this with 2.0 too...

will this work on x910bt?

Yeah It may not be 6.0, I'll change that, but it does update the CE to a newer version. LOL I just wish I could remember which version.

I thought mine kept forgetting my illumi color settings, but I just must have not set it properly. Because they started working after like 2 days.

will this work on x910bt?

Yes, It works on F700, F900, F90, X710, & X910.

The install went perfectly. I am unfamiliar with the mods that this encompasses, but it seems to run faster and I enabled "speedcam" and chose "English-Samatha", so we shall see.

Edit, I did not like the synthesis of the "Samantha" voice, so I did a "default" reset and went back to the OEM voice (Jason?). Is there a simpler way to Change voices without a complete reset?

When I went to Settings>System Settings>Service Information there seems to be a whole bunch of new stuff! At least, I've never seen it all before. Such as "Open Explorer" and "close Taskbar". Pretty freaking kewl! Is there any place some of these features and their usage is explained?

Might be a silly question guys, but does this file have EU maps?

Looks like great work by the way, pioneer should be paying you.

Posted May 11, 2010 · 13:22 UTC#33

Thanks guys, It doesn't have EU or Mexico maps because there wasn't enough space.

You can download this though, and replace the maps. It should work:

Hey Retell,

Quoted from your first post: "2. When the pioneer logo comes up, press and hold the menu, map, eject and the reset buttons at the same time. When you hear a pop sound from your speakers, let go of the eject button but continue to hold menu, map, and eject buttons. "

Could you please clarify? I think that one the red text should be "reset".

Thanks.

First off, thanks for doing this.

I have been lurking on the forums for a while now and was gathering information when I saw this. Perfect timing. I am going to download this tonight hopefully. I finally joined up and wanted to post that I will absolutely help seed for a couple of weeks at the least.

So, this "Speedcam/Redlight Mod", once enabled under "Warnings" should alert to redlight cams automatically?

Cuz, I turned mine on and passed at least 3 Redlight cams with no alert whatsoever!

What is up with that?

MAN!!!!! this is absolutely awesome. Worked no problem for me... I just got my AVIC-F90BT from a buddy of mine and I've never liked how slow these AVIC units are. MAN!!!! its so much faster now and everything works great. The only thing i noticed is when I exit the Service Info screen it takes me to the phone menu instead of back to the settings menu. Oh well.... Thanks again!!! I'll be seeding this!

Posted May 12, 2010 · 13:44 UTC#47

Thanks Again, current Ratio 2.34 Seeding up to 500 KB/s.

Can't wait till my truck is out of the shop so I can set this up :D!

This is cause by the left-over of the navi nag message hacked. There are also some other unexpected return places somewhere else but nothing major, you will be used to it.

I would first like to give a THANK YOU to Retell...good job man. i am getting one little annoying problem. maybe someone can help me out. as soon as i finished "updating" the unit(after i finished copying the files over) and after i pressed the reset button for 5 seconds, a message popped up saying "caution: screen image may appear reversed." and stays there, after about 30 seconds, if i put a cd in, the cd starts spinning and my bluetooth works, but the screen message still stays there. it has something to do with a backup camera...the only problem is, i do not have one, nor did i hook up the wire for it. i have tried resetting the unit by pressing the reset button, nothing, pressing the reset + eject, nothing. i have no idea what it to do. any suggestions??

ps...right after i updated, i also took my sd card out. also, if i turn the unit on WITH the sd card, it gives me this message, then after 30 seconds, it seems like the unit restarts, and enters windows ce.

any suggestions???????
