Just installed my Appradio 2 in my Honda and have sucessfully jailbroke (4s) and loaded the only version of appradio extensions availible in Cydia (appradio 1.1.4-1)

My main issue is i cannot control any of my apps (mail, Safari, contacts, any of them) from the screen... they open fine and correctly go into landscape mode.... just can't touch or slide anything.

Everything works great until I actually open a app and I get the hand pointing the index finger at the red X at the top right corner of the appradio 2 screen....

I have reloaded both appradio app from the app store and your appradio exstensions from cydia.

I realize that there is a beta version located on the first posts.. I have DL it and am watinig for a friend to help me DL a repository to upload it from my computer to my IPhone 4S....

Any help would be greatly appricated.

download ifile from cydia and open the link directly on your phone and it will install for you automatically.

How do i find out what firmware my SPH-DA100 is running? I know 8.17 is out, upgrade?

so i downloaded and installed the beta 5 which seems to run fine. my sole purpose is to finally be able to use navigon. however, when i launch navigon it shows me the startscreen of navigon and when i select an address for my destination on the appradio screen it shows me that there is a licensing conflict and that the maps cannot be shown on an external device. did anyone experience a similar issue? is there a way to get around it?

Try the new 'Disable External' setting. It makes Navigon think there is no external display.

I'd love to go back to appex but uninstalled about 3 weeks ago because I wasn't receiving push email, and unfortunately that's a feature I rely on for work. Any chance of getting that bug worked out? Thanks mike.

Try installing the latest version and modify the Backgrounder.plist file in /var/mobile/Library/AppRadioExtensions. Delete everything in the overrides section. I'm pretty sure it have something to do with this file. I'm only manually enabling backgrounder on the AppRadio app.

Not working for me, I get a completely black screen on any app.

I have no backgrounder app nor any TV out app installed, the version in Cydia worked fine.

Let me know if I can troubleshoot it for you somehow or if you need logs, thanks for the effort and great app BTW.

Just updated to firmware 8.17 im running ios 5.1.1. on iphone 4

everything works and some improvements on screen responsiveness

only problem so far is that coming out of apps the iphone springboard goes black so when disconecting iphone from appradio 2 i have to respring springboard to get the screen back.

looking good for iphone 5 integration as part of update was "for new touchscreen device"

Hi all, just installed a SPH DA100 & loving it! I installed the earlier Beta of Appex, & I get the iphone display on the head unit, but no touch control via the head unit. I get a hand pointing to a red "X" at the top of the screen when i touch the screen.. When i install the Beta 5 version, i dont get any iphone screens on my Head Unit at all, just a black screen. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Anyone getting same problem? Any help appreciated, & well done Mike on a great App!!

I've just read the documentation & the TV Out section says" Automatically displays unsupported apps on the Appradio display. You cannot use the screen for touch input. This is for viewing only".

The video on the first post on this thread shows the iphone screen on the head unit with touch screen enabled to control the iphone via the head unit. I thought that was what this app was about.... am i just being dumb or am i missing something here?

@Paulie a bit of both this is as stated BETA software, most likely (and that actually what is happening) the Documentation is not updated and your reading the documentation from the OLD AppEx 1.1.4xxx Which clearly stated that no touch support on the screen of the head unit was implemented. @mikedecaro is working on the new version but my guess is that as any of us Dev's out there the Documentation is the last thing to worry about so give the guy a break he is working alone on this and for free.

Hey man ur awesome thanks a lot but I have a few questions everytime I try to acces my apps from the screen such as my text or photos anything everytime I press on the icon it launches it on my phone but my screen stays on a black screen and when I try to press something it say the no touch icon any idea ? And another thing everytime I try to exit and unplug my phone I do hit the home button but my appradio paring app stays running and it won't exit I have to hard reset my phone to get it working again

It iss possible to manualy switch in Lanscape Mode for this without turning Iphone?

When ich switch "Disable External" i have only normal Mode.

Sorry to sound stupid here, but what do I do with this?

When I click on it, it opens random text, that of which is not even all English (Some symbols). I thought it would prompt me to download the file, then replace the backgrounder.plist in Appex with this new one.

I did it through SSH, rather than ifile which I was trying to do originally.

However, using this edited backgrounder still does not allow for push email....Just an FYI.

I have managed to sort it out now. I had to uninstall avtivator on my iphone then it worked.

I'm in no way criticizing Mike's work, I think it is great that someone is taking the time & effort to enhance the usage of these App Radios, something that Pioneer should have done themselves. I'm in awe at Mike for his hard work & dedication for getting this far, so much so, I have made a donation to him like so many others here to show my appreciation for his hard work. I was not getting the results others were when I was using the Appex, hence my posts - just asking for a bit of guidance.

So, why dont you give me a break, when i start to crticize someone because things aint working, then please, post a reply like you did. But until then, keep you're dumbass comments to yourself

Hey Mike, I managed to figure out that it was Activator on my Iphone that was causing the conflict. I un installed it, & Beta5 works now. Many thanks for your reply. This is a great app, & it can only get better. I have made a donation as gratitude for all your efforts! Keep up the great work!!
