Who told you there was a jailbreak for 6.1.3?
I was wondering that also. There is for a 4 not a 4s

6.1.3 can be jailbroken but it is unstable and I don't recommend it. It is tethered which means if your phone crashes or looses power you cant restart the phone without your computer. Its not not worth it in my option. You would be better off trying to downgrade your firmware to a previous version of iOS6.
we only have the iPhone 4. My girl hasnt had any issues with her jailbreak on her phone, we always have jailbroken phones. and I just got a new iPhone 4 strictly to keep in the car. its not going to be used for calls or any of that, just has service for the deck. that being said, phones already jailbroken. are those the said apps i need to download from cydia above, its there any other that are recommended to make it any more user friendly at all?
add cydia sourcettp://mikedecaro.com/repo
download - AppRadio Extentions (most recent version)
- Activator (set it to launch AppRadio on power, lock on loss of power) <---- is this correct? the phone will generally be plugged in at all times in the vehicle
in the AppEx settings I can select what Apps I want to show up on the Deck correct? when I power up the deck and click apps does it take me directly to the applist or do I need to do more than that?
Yes.
Also: what do you guys favor for music apps? I'm a HUGE spotify fan, Does that work with the deck very well? how are RDIO and iheartradio? and does pandora stream the same when running it unlocked or is it different?
Spotify doesn't work in landscape from what I understand and may have other screen size issues and Rdio no longer is supported at all for AR unless you have version 2.1.8 iHeartradio is AR compatible.
thanks, I got most of it squared away I think.

You'll be fine with Redsnow if you're only using the phone in the car with the Pioneer. My jailbroken iPod touch running iOS 6.1.3 and Rednow only rarely needs to be rebooted with some Cydia app upgrades, otherwise totally stable.
Ok so I've been following this thread for a while and it was one of the primary reasons why I purchased the AVH-X7500BT Pioneer head unit. I just got my system installed this past weekend and I just started messing with the AppRadio last night. I seem to be running into issues however. When I start up AppRadio and try to click on Maps or even Photos it tells me the car must be parked. Not only was I parked and not even moving, but when I had my system installed I made sure the Parking Brake was bypassed. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would be happening? I even got the CarBrowser app and was trying that out and I managed to get it to pop up once but it usually gave me the same message as the other apps...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you guys!

Your parking brake is not bypassed.
Your parking brake is not bypassed.
Why would it give me that message if I was parked then?
Why would it give me that message if I was parked then?
Whoever hooked your deck up didn't hook the e-brake wire up correctly or something.

do you set your parking brake according to the instructions? There is a whole thread on this.
Ok thanks for the input guys. I'm taking it in to have it looked at today. Clearly he did something wrong. I was testing the AppRadio feature when I first noticed problems but, after you guys suggested it wasn't properly hooked up, I threw a DVD in there and I could only hear audio but no video and it clearly says in the manual that the parking brake cable isn't connected. Thanks again for the help...can't wait to mess with this AppRadio!
Did someone use the external GPS antenna successfully with non supported apps? I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't work but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks in advance!
Any idea on how to get an i5 to work with AR1? Sick of using my iPod...
Thanks!
There will no support for video or app mode for DA01/02 units.
Just posted an update:
I still don't know what's causing the resize issue. The triangles on the sides of the app is actually the ends of the AppRadio app dock across the bottom. I'm thinking it's a problem with overscan but everything I tried hasn't worked yet.
Where's this update???
In Cydia and the first post of this thread.
Hi.
mikedecaro, great job. Thank you.
For the new version Appradio (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/appradio/id434811742?mt=8) and iOS 5 will support?
Sorry, the Google translation. ![]()
Just posted an update:
- Fixed the auto rotate issues. Safari seems to run in a special sandbox, so it still doesn't rotate.
- Updated the Pandora home button to bookmark on double tap (just keep pressing the bookmark button quickly a bunch of times).
- The AppRadio app is now killed when you unplug the cable.
- Added the Home button to the AppRadio app menu.

Thanks Mike. Any more thoughts on mirroring apps like Pandora?
home button: the screen does not go into landscape and the touch is not working properly.
I've noticed that starting safari home button function, it must be correctly in landscape.

I want to know whether this is possible too

Hi Mike,
When I was using beta12 the screen usually resized ok with no triangles, if it didn't, closing & reopening the app would fix. With beta13, it's always small with the triangles
Is there any way I can download beta12 and reinstall that?

Just pandora? or all supported apps?

Safari is a know issue due to sandboxing. I'll look into the home landscape issue though.

Use the link in the first post and change the beta number.

What are you using to rotate the springboard?
