There is also another update to Car Media Player but the changes are just language support, what I don't understand though is why they don't update the look and feel of the app, its looked exactly the same for at least the last two years!

i´m new here and switched some weeks ago from a Android device to a iPhone 5c. Reason.. i was not so happy with my S4 in combination with my Pioneer X8500BT because the time to connect was to long or sometimes not possible and so on. With my iPhone allmost all work like a charm and how it must be. But the last thing to be really happy with my new set is to get running AppRadio Extensions for iOS7. 

For this reason i do not ask like many other when it will be ready, or how long we need to waite and so on (because good things need time).... NO... i made a donation of 10,- USD and wish Mike (which work in his free time on such projects and not for money but for fun like others too) much energy, good healthy, a relaxed brain and good luck on his work! 

Maybe others should also donate and not only talk the whole time because again and again the same questions like some threads before will not make anything faster

I have a question, and I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I've searched and haven't found anything and this forum has held more useful information than I've found. I'm wanting to change the background on my unit when it's at the original screen, not the app radio screen. I know there are a few that you can choose from originally, just curious if anybody knows if it's possible to upload your own pic to the unit and save it. TIA.

We made some progress with getting AppEx running on iOS 7, but many of the features aren't working. Apple made some huge changes to the backend of iOS 7 so it may take a while to figure out workarounds for all of the issues. I'll keep everyone posted as we go.

Are you working with the latest version of AppRadio 2.6.0 app? or should we hold off on updating it?

some days ago i updated from 6.1.3 to 6.1.5. at the same time i updated the appradio app from appstore to 2.6.0. since that time it seems that my ipod can´t use the appradios GPS anymore. anyone else with the same problem?

I have issues with ipod 4g on 6.1.5 getting gps. Do you also have an issue with springboard freezing when opening apps unless opened before connected to radio?

no, no springboard freezes yet but i have just used it for testing different navis. lasted only some minutes.

The latest version before the update a couple of days ago. Will check what version that is later tonight.

Just tested with latest app radio and same issues still (but no more bugs which is good!)

OK, 

I accidentally upgraded to 2.6.0 by hitting "update all apps".  DO NOT upgrade to this, as there are now awesome commercials to listen to on Pandora!  

Is there anyway to downgrade?  I haven't backed anything up to my computer, but potentially there is a mirror of 2.5.0 somewhere?

If you haven't updated your apps in iTunes the previous version will still be there. And I also noticed the other day a comercial in Pandora. Didn't realize until now it was due to the new AR version of the app. Thanks for posting.

Excellent!  Deleted the new version and popped the old one back on.  I even had a really old version of Pandora on there as well...figure it couldn't hurt to have that too.  Ideally I will be listening to Pandora commercial free like the olden days.  Will update if there are still commercials some crazy how.

Okay here's the issues I am having. 

I have a jailbroken 6.1.5 iPod 4G, AppRadio 2.6 app and Appradio extentions 2.0.1-1. When I plug it in to the AR, the Springboard crashes and restarts. When I turn on any unsupported app, Springboard crashes and restarts. And in the App mode, it does not show any unsupported apps, only app radio apps. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the AR extentions, still it is having same issues. Please help.. Anyone having a same issue?

So today I started the iOS AppStore App and there was an Update for the AppRadio App to Version 2.6.1

I Hope this does not interfere with Mike developing process of a compatible AppEx Version for iOS 7.

personally I'm in the habit of backing up all versions, just in case something goes funky

Im still on ios6 because of AppEx but i might update soon, think about it guys, when 7.1 comes out JB might not be possible. Its prolly goin out someday in march. Its good to know that AppEx will be available in ios 7 sooner or later

This was exactly my thinking, upgraded to ios7 about a week ago as I didn't want to risk missing out on the window!

I bought the Appraido 3 about three weeks ago my normal phone is Iphone 5 with OS7 I also dug up my Iphone 4 with IOS 6.1. I know that OS 7 is not supported but I can not get my Iphone 4 with IOS 6.1 to work with the app extenstions.  I am using appradio app version 2.6.1 because that was all that was avilbule to download when I found my Iphone 4. I use the Iphone 5 set up to connect my Iphone 4 with a 30pin HDMI converter from Apple.  Anyone know if this will work? When I hook it up the appraido app loads but I can not click on anything I get the No touch icon from the Pioneer or when the touch does work the screen goes blank after clicking on an app.  Is this an issue with the version of appraido or is this because I have the Iphone 4 hooked up using the HDMI?

I resolved this issue by following these directions:

But now when I exit an app it goes to a black screen and does not return to the appradio app home screen unless I reload the app then it works till I exit an app.. If i Double click the home button on the iphone and change the app in the task switch it is fine.  Is there a way to activate the app switcher from the head unit with appex?
