I will be getting the D3 and bluetooth. Not sure what to do for the 3rd item. The ipod adapter is not expensive enough to qualify. I may get the XM NAV Traffic Module that is on sale.

guys when i put my car Mercedes C320 Coupe in crutchfield.com, it saids D3 does not competible with my car, does that mean im stuck?

Posted Feb 11, 2007 · 19:52 UTC#8

It said that on mine as well...I just ignored it

I know my Nissan Armada is the DD (Double-Din) style...

I'm thinking they don't have the website configuration updated/compatible with the D3 as of yet.... just a guess though...but if you have the DD style in your car - you should be good to go.

it says that for the '07 Jeep Wranger as well. The OEM Jeep head unit is wider than the normal 2din, so you have to get a bracket from Metra which fills in the extra space. Go to MetraOnline.com, and they probably have something for your vehicle.

Does anyone know if the the bypass stuff that works for the Z1 will work for the D3? I wouldn't want one without the bypass.

If it said it won't fit, just make sure you have at least a Double Din opening. Can someone please post the dimensions I don't know them off hand. If you have a DD or larger then it will fit but you most likely will need some sort of adapter.

Nobody has one yet so its still impossible to say if it will be bypassable

Nice

I also ordered a D3, 12 disk player and xm from crutchfield

thanks for the 15% off code!!

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 17:07 UTC#18

I took a print out of what Crutchfield was charging me after the discount and my local Sound Advice (owned by Tweeter) matched the price on everything including $850 for the D3.

For the price of tax, I like knowing I can go there if there are any issues and they will be doing my install as well.

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 18:28 UTC#19

Thanks for the code! Can't beat $850 for the D3 from an authorized dealer! So I bought a D3, xm navtraffic tuner, and the sirius tuner with the coupon... Still haven't decided whether I was going to go with xm or sirius but the price is right and I'll sell off the spare later. I'd be interested to try out the navtraffic feature but I wish I could get nfl and nba programming - this ones a toughie for me.

Anyway, just for those wondering I heard that the coupon expires on 2/15, don't know if there is any truth to that but you may want to think about jumping on this one if you're going to do it!

omg.... u US people are lucky~~

last night I went to vision electronics (in Canada) , they said D3 will arrive there in END of March with MSRP $1299.99 CAD, after 13% (PST, GST) tax, it will be $1470 CAD !!!

The manager is also going for D3 himself.

Anyone know any other places I can get D3 cheaper than this in Canada?

Thanks!!!

easiest bet would be to drive down south to the US, or have a friend/family member send you one, on the USPS customs form, put "Birthday Gift" :)

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 19:22 UTC#22

Forgive the ignorance of conversion rates, but isn't that about the same price it goes for in the US?

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 19:24 UTC#23

$1,470.00 CAD = $1,250.83 USD

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 19:25 UTC#24

Ok now I get it that's a fair bit more than msrp then. thanks.

Posted Feb 12, 2007 · 19:44 UTC#25

Good idea dascsh, I'm gonna bring a printout to sound advice as well. Hopefully they'll hook me up with a cheap install too, because I need a little custom work to make a double din fit in my car.

And thanks again for the discount code! Only 1118 for the Avic-D3, iPod Adapter, Sirius Tuner, and Bluetooth Module. :D Now thats savings!
