I took a print out of what Crutchfield was charging me after the discount and my local Sound Advice (owned by Tweeter) matched the price on everything including $850 for the D3.
For the price of tax, I like knowing I can go there if there are any issues and they will be doing my install as well.
i just got back from tweeter and they refused to match crutchfield....they said they would only match places like best buy and circuit city. i was a little annoyed when ealier in the day they told me on the phone they would match crutchfield and i drove 25 minutes to the store only to find they didnt understand me.
What a bunch of assholes. Thats just poor customer service, period. It's a stretch, but maybe you can call another location and have them ship it to you? I believe Circuit City price matches as well, worth looking in to.
Strange about Tweeter, I took my printout from Crutchfield and had no issues at all. I had the Mobile Electronics manager wait on me and explained that I called today and he took care of it. I got the D3, XM unit and Ipod cable with installation of everything for about $1300
I just talked to Crutchfield and they said mid to late March. It does not say it on the wedsite

What accessories are you guys buying with it to get the discount? I was thinking the XM receiver (now that Sirius doesn't have a good interface) and the bluetooth module.
Only problem is pioneer says in the manual to use CD-BTB200, and the website says CD-BTB100. Crutchfield doesn't have the 200 model yet. Your thoughts?
George, we've actually got another thread going about the D3 accessories, some posts talk about the BT adapter. CD-BTB200 isn't out yet (they're saying May), but IMO it would be worth waiting for.
I picked up the Sirius and XM NavTraffic tuner personally - I will sell the Sirius tuner and get some cash back. You may also want to think about the new backup Camera or a cd changer if you aren't happy about the 1 shared disc slot in the front for music/map data. You can't use a cd changer for map data but at least you can have a place to play music cd's if you keep the nav disc in the drive.
I only did the $20 off coupon on crutchfield, however I picked up the remote and ipod cable off the pioneer website.
I'm gonna wait for the updated bluetooth module, and maybe eventually get XM.
