Did either of you find the firmware for Z9200? I’m getting the software error message and need to update the firmware. Keen not to use the Z9100 as I need the DVD capability.
Any news for avh-Z9200 DAB Europe? I'm becoming crazy? Can I install other compatible software?

My AVH-4200NEX recently started the dreaded boot loop and searching the internet eventually led me here. I had no idea these radios had an issue until my problems started and of course I did not take a backup for my unit since I never thought I would need one. Is there a copy of the 4200NEX image somewhere? Looks like the two posters quoted managed to get a copy of a good image or new SD card so hoping someone can help me out. Thanks!

Well I got impatient and risked wasting an SD card (since I don't know how to unlock the card after using it in the HU) and I tried the 4000 img in a 4200 and it booted but with 4000 features only so no AA.
ANYONE have a 4200 image to share?

For all who are searching for an internal image of F960BT or 5000NEX here is a link.
I just try it on my AVIC-F960BT EU5 and it works like a charm.
You need a 4GB SD Card.
Just download the torrent an then copy the image file to the SD Card with the program Win32 Disk Imager.
Thanks to the guy who uploaded the image unfortunately I don't know who it is.

It's been so long ago. I don't recall having issues with it. I fixed the HU and gave it to a friend. No complaints.

Hi, I'm trying to create a backup of an AVH-Z9200DAB SD card. I already have a working setup for unlocking the SD card, but I don't have the password. Does anybody know the correct password for this unit?

Password should be the same for other models of that period, like the AVH-W4500NEX.
