  1. You need to make an ISO of the stock nav DVD, replace the XM files, and burn the modified ISO to a dual layer DVD. Also, I think the latest XM is here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/32128-xm-july-16th-logo-updatednfzxzxxx-series/
  2. I'm not aware of any issues, can you provide an example?
  3. When viewing POI results there's a sort button in the bottom right; hit it twice.
  4. From what I've been told by Pioneer, yes, the 130->140 update will be a full update including navteq.
  5. Sorry to hear about the breakin, at least your car is fine. The hardware is the same. From what I've heard, the UI on the 140 is also the same as the 130, it just uses navteq map data behind the scenes and the POI sorting is supposted to be fixed. There will be a 130->140 update later in the year, so you won't be out any features. (Usually summer)
  6. $746 to repair a D3 is absolutely insane. Unless the thing got run over by a truck I really can't imagine them charging that much....You could get a brand new X series for less than that. lol
  7. Got a response from Pioneer about the new maps. The map GUI is the same as it is now but uses navteq map data. So no new in-action screenshots Update for older units comes "later this year".
  8. You're talking about the front 3.5mm jack right? That's AV2. Change it from "off" to "video" in the settings and then go back and select AV2 as your current source.
  9. Sigh... If you want a serious answer post something more intellectual than "I can't figure it out". If your phone is semi-modern (has a recent Bluetooth profile) and paired, the AVIC will pull contacts automatically on power up and during the initial pairing. If that's not happening, you can force a contact transfer with that button. If your phone supports auto contact transfer, just hit the transfer button and then hit cancel on the business card screen, contacts transfer in the background. If your phone doesn't support auto contact transfer, hit the transfer button (don't cancel
  10. Cold temperature protection. It's waiting to get warmer before booting up.
  11. Yes, it will play video playlists. iPod output is done via composite video, so no, you're not going to get 720p...the AVIC screen is only 480 anyway lol
  12. Hello Couldn't make it to CES this year. I'm trying to get a hold of one to review though. I also asked for some screenshots to demo the new navteq maps. We'll see how that goes.
  13. Not sure what happened to the link that was here before. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/31534-condis-hackmode-v14-diskrw-gpsgate-textfiller-regeditor-with-reg-files-associated-updated-13062011/
  14. Is the reverse wire connected? Check connection status. Does the XM tuner have power/antenna and IPBUS connected? We don't have much to go on here. lol
  15. Yeah, you need to enable it in the AV Settings.
  16. I would do: www.google.com/?q=site:avic411.com+bmw+x5 It's not so much a site "restriction" as a database limitation. If you could do 2 or 3 character searches it would make mysql (the database) look through ~250k posts to find 2 or 3 matching characters. It's not practical. Lets say someone searched for common words like "the" "it" "jpg" etc, it would be bad... that many results would probably run the server out of RAM. Google works in a completely different way and thus is able to search down to a single character.
  17. Yellow = Constant 12v (battery) Black = Ground White? Sounds like someone did the bypass with a white wire, if that's the case, ground along with the parking break.
