  1. Thanks, I'll buy the other antenna and pray it works. I shoulda asked before I bought. At least now I'll have a spare to run in series to collect deep space music.
  2. No xm radio or traffic reception, but gps works great. I replaced the antenna with the cable to the back of the head unit and still no traffic or xm. Screen says check antenna. AM/FM work great. What's my next step?
  3. Reloading the update gave back the left hand turn windows. Thanks again to the seeders. However, the antenna still doesn't work. So I'm going to pull the unit and check to see if road vibration pulled the connection loose. Somewhere I've read that GPS antennas have a built in amplifier. I've never had a problem with an antenna that wasn't caused by my accidental bending and breaking. Do GPS antennas usually go bad?
  4. Thanks to the three of you who are seeding. It's brought the download from a week to three days.
  5. I'm not seeing the left guidance window about half the time, when a turn needs to be made, it's just blank. Also, my antenna seems to be missing. I'm wondering if I got a bad download. Am downloading now and could use some seeders if possible. Looks like a week to download. Thanks and any advice appreciated.
  6. Thank you. Ever since one of my programmer friends got hacked, I've been paranoid.
  7. My antivirus flags these two files as being potentially malicious. Anyone able to confirm these are safe? HackTool:Win32/keygen file:C:\Users\S\Desktop\Z3 2012 CNDV-1100HD HDD IMAGE\Acronis v10.0.4942\keygen-CORE.exe file:C:\Users\S\Downloads\Z3 2012 CNDV-1100HD HDD IMAGE\Acronis v10.0.4942\keygen-CORE.exe
  8. Add the T-Mobile, HTC HD2 (Leo) works on the Z2.
  9. The phone rep tried to play games, giving me a little run around, probably standard procedures to check your testosterone, but settled for a total price of $99.00 for the year, broken down into: XM $77 Activation $14.95 NavTraffic three months free then $7 for nine months. Charges have yet to appear on the CC. I think they'll come close to giving it away as they need the money. Granted this is an old news, but for those unaware . . . http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id ... _article=1
  10. The phone connects and works, but with it's miniscule battery, the phone's power saving features shuts itself down, breaking the connection, I think. Contacts transfer one at a time, for now. The head unit says phone disconnected after each contact, but then asks to add another. Just press yes and send the next. Oh, it's painfully slow, probably designed for the anti-social.
  11. LOL! Thanks, I seem to be late again. However, i was thinking about combining a Roomba vac with a tonka dozer, coupled to a bungie cord!? I've caught what's going around, and you can see, definitely tired and worn out. Thanks for the fun, I'm going to sleep.
  12. Thank you for the fast reply! You're awesome and this site is awesome. Saw that in the wiring guide, but was a little afraid to draw too much, seeing the Z2has the hard drive, screen backlite and all, while using the stock wiring harness. I've had stiches bigger than the wires in that car. Thanks again, I've got work tomorrow. Z3 Bluetooth NavTraffic Does anyone know where I can find the unit so the Z2 cleans the upholster and carpet while I'm at work?
  13. Got my Z2 on Tuesday evening, read the manuals, forgot what i read and had it up and running today, despite the advice from Crutchfield. I spent two days looking for a non-existant separate amp in my 02 Solara. The buypass works, and the screen shows the parking brake is on, heh heh. So I can do some things correctly. However, I'd rather not string a line from the battery into the cabin, and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on where to tap the allways on + power for the XM Nav/Traffic? Yeh, got stung with Pioneers confusing instructions too. Newegg.com still has the Z2 for
  14. You can add me to the list, and a bunch of people at Crutchfield.

    AVIC Z3?

Unfortunately, I cant see it way over there. Remeber I couldn't see the other Z3 posts on the board. So, where did you see this mythical machine? While I'd expect the form factor to remain the same, it's the features and perhaps a few extra adapters for plugging things in that would push me over the edge to buy the thing.
