ok now, most of us have , in one way or another, gotten the map update right? so, my question is.. i saw a post here a short while ago by someone saying Pioneer is planning a major update to the D3 in 2009.. so , I'll start the rumor mill early.. anyone have any info on this at all? We should expect SOME type of map updates I assume, but "OS" updates? firmware, XM\Sirius... bluetooth, backgrounds.. voices.. ? what?

i used imageburn to make my disc.

i finally downloaded the files and burned my disk. put it in, the upgrade looked like it went fine. then, i tried to do a POI search to see if it was any better.. I cant set my region! the USA map is set at 0, and when i press it, it just sets me back at the main map. after doing that oh.. about 20 times in frustration and say 'uhh???'.. the D3 starts freakin out at me, and now it would suddenly reboot while driving and give me a black screen while the radio is playin. Once i got the inappropriate disk message and then it FINALLY mapped me to my destination, but now my POI search buttons, etc

thanks. i used winrar. i got the dvd made. i went to my avic. put it in. the upgrade went sucessfully. BUT in navi mode, i cannot set my region, it shows up as 0. so i cant do POI searches.

i used XP's explorer to extract it. XP can open and extract zip files natively. Ive never had an issue doing that in the past 5 years.

i used the direct link try using a ftp cleint like flashfxp to download the file, that way if the file interupts at any time, it can finish the download. i think they charge for it, but you can just use the evaluation version. i just downloaded it with flashfxp, had the same 'corrupted zip' error

im not looking a gift horse in the mouth here, but ive downloaded the east zip file three times now. each time i try to get the iso file out of the zip and it tells me the zip file is corrupted. anyone else see this/?

you have to tune to a traffic station for your area then, hold that traffic button down for about 10 seconds, the radio will pop up a message stating its now set for that station to be your traffic station. then it should work

nice.. god i wish someone could figure out how to do this on the D3..

Ive had my D3 for almost a year now. I was hoping to see Pioneer release an update download, or cd for some improvements, or fixes, etc.. but I havent. Have they done this for other models, firmware upgrades, etc? just curious. im also looking for the BT module now

i have the d3 in my 2003 silverado ss. i put in some KAPPA462.7CFP in the rear doors., using the pac interface, and running off the bose amp. they dont sound all that different from stock, in fact, they distort a bit. could they be underpowered? if so, i have to find someone to profesionally install the sony amp i have for them

when will the 2008 navi disks get released for the D3?
