  1. Looking for some help on this one, got my Z1 install done and noticed it has been acting a bit weird lately. Unit was used but in good condition. I did get the speed sense wire connected and the GPS antenna mounted in the stock location (shows good reception from most satellites at all times) As I'm driving around, the vehicle position will be off by as much as a block or two, and then will jump to the correct position every couple minutes. I assume that this means the GPS can find the location correctly but that the accelerometer is doing weird things to the position in the meantime
  2. Nice. I've got a Z1 in my G35. Great cars
  3. I dug into my trunk yesterday and found that on the stock XM unit for the G35c there's actually 2 antenna connectors going into the unit, one is brownish, one is green. Any idea which one I should use for the Pioneer unit? Neither of them plug directly in. I wanted to make sure before I started destroying the plug ends.
  4. Oh sweet Jesus. You are a brave soul, sir. Information on this thread is fantastic though. I imagine a Z1 upgraded with a Z3 hard drive still acts the same with the 2-wire bypass? Brave or completely clueless. Most likely the latter. The Z1 (or Z2) upgraded to a Z3 does indeed still work with the 2-wire bypass. CHeers! Great! Thanks.

  6. Not to thread hijack but... I'd assume the same applies to an '04 Infiniti G35 coupe?
  7. I was just about to post this same question regarding the factory antenna for an '04 Infiniti G35, probably the same thing as the Altima. g35frenzy.com and g35driver.com didn't have much for me in the way of answers.

    Going rate for Z1?

Thanks for the info on the Z2.. I'm not opposed to getting a good condition used unit, but I really don't want to sift through some high school gangster's chop job wiring harness to do my install... I'm sure you can relate Might be worth going with a nice used unit and just drop an extra $50 bucks for a new harness...
  9. I apologize in advance for the newb question, but there seems to be a pretty bizarre range of prices for "new" Z1 units on eBay and anywhere else I see them. Short of trying a refurb unit, what does the board think market price on a new/open box Z1 should be? Thanks
