still having a hard time. so now when i turn on my car, the unit's fan will turn on but the screen is blank and all the buttons dont light up. If i press and hold eject menu and map, the lights on the buttons will start pulsing and then it goes to a blue screen where you enter in the service combo. but when i release all three buttons the screen goes blank again. i tried holding the reset down with the other buttons but the screen is still blank. another thing that happens is when the button lights start pulsing, i relase the menu and map but keep holding down the eject, the screen goes t

how do you press the service combo when your finger is still pressing on the menu button? when the screen is blue and i release the menu button the screen black.

having lots of trouble with step 4. screen keeps going black after i relase any button

I am having some trouble getting it past Step 4 which is holding down all the buttons and waiting for the blue screen. RIght now my unit does turn on the fan but no lights on the buttons and the screen is black. but when i hold down the eject, menu, and map a blue screen pops up saying please press reset key again. Once i let go of a button the screen turns black again. Any help is much appreciated!

whats included in the update? is it just updating the parking error message? just to be clear this isnt from the 110 to the 120

i placed mine right next to the rear view mirror mount using the magnetic pad supplied with the unit. i just wired it through the headliner over to the driver side A pillar, down under the dash, then to the center console/head unit. No reception loss whatsoever. And it looks clean and oem like

Update! Received my Avic on Saturday from fedex! They originally came on friday but was at work Soldered up my wiring harness and what not and finished the install yesterday! I freaking love this thing. Will post pics soon.

a/v connections? i thought the ipod only has one plug..no?

so i already placed an order for the z110, now im looking to buy the ipod cable. but i noticed that the X910 uses a different ipod cable (CD-IU230V) and the z110 uses (CD-IU50V). I cant tell the difference, anybody have wisdom on this? thanks!
