Hi, I've the same problem on my C Class. I searched on internet for the 40-vw53 adapter but I didn't see Mercedes Class C in the compatibility list. Have you tried it ? I found this one : http://www.audiooutfitter.com/40vw12/metra/p69761.html Metra 40VW12 but I don't think it's an amplified adapter. I don't know if the reception will be better.

Hi, I've an avic d3 installed on a benz c 2002 and I've the same problem. When the key is on ACC, the speed shows more than 200km/h. When I turn the key to on without start the engine, all is ok. When I start the car and when I drive, all is ok. I use a pioneer adapter CA-R-PI.131 which generates speed pulses. Could the problem come from the adapter ? Thanks
