  1. ok sounds good thanks would the reverse cable get hooked up to the lights or a switch? any suggestions would be great thanks
  2. so i just installed the pioneer nd-bc2 and everything seems to be working fine.... my only stupid question is should the whole screen be the camera shot because right now only 3/4 of my screen is the rear view shot and 1/4 is the map... is there a setting i have to change or something to make the rearview the entire screen like i see on the d3 or is that not an option on the d2? also how good is the nite vison on your camera..... i guess i was expeting more visibility at nite then i got... thanks
  3. i think they made it easy because if they didnt then the next guy will and its all about the money.... beside i doubt that pioneer cares how easy it was as long as it looks good on paper for the government
  4. as long as the mute wiring in the empty slot and the parking brake wire are ground it should work... just make sure everything makes contact and ur all set
  5. i agree.... i would put it on the brake wire as well this way its the same as pulling the ebrake up or down but instead ur flipping the switch good luck
  6. i have a avic d2 in my 2007 frontier which is almost the exact same thing.... i have the rockford fosgate package and the wheel controls and sirius all installed with out any problems... im sure the d3 would go in no problem and i didnt have to do anything with the dash... i used the original black border piece that came with the unit and it filled in the gaps perfectly all around
  7. what kind of kit are you looking at? im pretty sure the wheel sensor transmits to a little receiver and then the receiver plugs into the lcd using some sort of video input so i would just skip hooking up the tv and plug the receiver right into the unit... u might need an adapter but i might work... sorry this isnt much help but its a thought.... dont have much experience with this cuz my frontier came with the sensors stock so i have the little light on the dash to tell me my pressure hehe
  8. take it out and have it reinstalled by a shop... somethings obviously is wrong in the electronics and thats the worst problem to have in the car and not worth messing around with if you dont have experience especially in a bmw
  9. also double check if its a street or a road.... i live in ct also and ppl tell me they live on a street even tho its really a road, drive, ave etc..... im pretty sure it has them all because i've even found class 3 roads in the middle of nowhere in vt without any problems even tho i was sure they wouldnt have it
  10. i had a little dvd player hooked up to my avic d2 in the glove box... worked perfect with the bypass and everything
  11. MONSTER SCREEN CLEAN all the way!! the stuff is amazing and its comes with a microfiber cloth .... the whole kit is $20 at radioshack i love it so much i use it every other day http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... age=search
  12. ok i think i got..... took the whole dash apart... rewired all my ground wires to new shiny metal parts of the dash.... put a new wire into the empty slot and made the pin really tight almost too tight to even put the harness back in but it just squeezed by... so far so good .... ill go for a little ride tonite to make sure it wont reset but i guess that was it.... bad ground somewhere or loose pin.... thanks guys
  13. everything is grounded to the metal behind the dash.... its really weird because like i said before it work perfectly in the maxima and now its acting up in the truck.... i might take that whole thing apart again tomorrow and put in a new ground
  14. yes i've tried that.... is there a cetain number of times you have to reset before the unit just gives up? also are you taking about the reset button on the face of the unit or is there another way to reset it thanks
  15. if you dont move the mute wire and just put in your owe wire will that affect the bypass? in others words do u have to more/remove the mute wire which ever way you do it?
