how did you get your 6th gen ipod firmware back to 1.0.2? i've been trying to figure this out forever! please help me!

i just got an ipod classic 80gb and had to download itunes from apples website. can i do this also? my gf bought it for me to replace my older ipod so i could play videos in the car.

i just got an 80gb ipod classic and have had the same problem as listed up above with only sound. tried all the different methods mentioned but no success. would it be possible to get some type of "extension" from apple to put between the ipod and the ipod cable?

i replaced my non-bose HU with my d3 in my 06 350z. i WANTED to add a 7" touch screen for a car pc in the cubby, but based on the research i've done, the 06+ cubbys are just too small to work with. one thing you might be able to do is purchase the factory navi kit (the dash kit that replaces the cubby and holds the oem navi) and install the d3 into that, but i'm not sure how much space you have behind the actual unit. good luck with everything!

i have the same problem with my radio being unclear and having a lot of static/ weak signal. did connecting the 2 blue wires fix the problem completely? does the radio sound normal now?

cool, i can't wait to hook everything up! good thing my car has 2 cigarette lighter and 4 cup holders (350z) i have a question that's a bit off topic, but since you're pretty quick with the knowledgeable replies i figured i might as well ask you here. after installing my amp + sub, everytime i press the unlock button my sub will hit twice (like a heart beat). what could be the cause of this? did i splice into the wrong wire for my speakers or is it not properly grounded? sorry, im definitely no expert when it comes to audio/electronics.

okay cool. now is there anyway to watch videos with the d3 if i dont have an ipod video? i've got a 4th gen (non color) model.

is this possible if i don't have ipod video? i can't try it right now because my car is in the dealership. also, i remembered there being a trick that involved some timing with turning the ipod on/off with the d3 to get this to work.

i remember reading a thread not too long ago about a trick to control the ipod while it's plugged into the d3. searched at least 15 different times and can't find that thread anymore. Can someone help me find it, or perhaps enlighten me on how this trick is executed? thanks in advance! Jon
