I understand that the Z2 does not have trizone but it does have Dual zone. Now the Z3 states on the manual that it has Trizone capabilities. My question is: Are these capabilities brought on by the firmware update or is it a difference in the hardware (Z2- Z3). What I really want to know is if updating my z2 into a z3 with the update from this site will give me this capability or is there a slight difference between the Hardware itself??? Thank You

I was just looking at the specs of the z3 and z2. The z2 specs says it has dual zone and the Z3 says it has trizone. I have the z2 with an upgraded z3 hard drive I was wondering if this upgrade (dualzone, trizone) is a software upgrade or if it was a Hardware upgrade? Any idea Guys much appreciate it.

I followed his instructions to upgrade my z2 to z3. It worked beautifully and was quite instructional. He made it so easy to do. Thanks Afmagnum. the voice commands and the Bluetooth work a lot better and the maps are definately better in the Boston area. Great instructions

has any of you tried the options on the z2 when you are making the routes. For example try the options between making it the fastest, the straightest, use main roads, etc.....

any one know of a good place to get a shark fin antenna for the Avic z2 and XM

Cool it seems to be working good so far. Has any body else noticed it seems to boot up quicker?
