  1. I have my GPS and XM antennas mounted IN my dash (on steel strut the crosses over radio, so its only covered by the cars plastic radio/console trim), not visible at all. I do loose a lot of signal strength doing this, but with a convertible, I have few options. Having the GPS mounted that way is less of a problem than the XM one, GPS can loose signal here and there and still keep you on course with the gyro and speed sense. The XM is more of a problem, basicly any other obstruction (big truck, tree, tall buildings, etc...) and it cuts out right away. I canceled my XM, not because of thi
  2. I took mine apart to replace a bad touch screen, and now I have the same problem. I know I damaged the latch that holds the cable in, but I was able to repair that, the cable locks in securely now, but I am worried I somehow (don't see any signs of damage) damaged the cable itself. I have been just using it blind for the last few days (I had been using for months without use of touch screen, so not much different without display, just cant see track name, lol). I am going to tear back into it later this week and see if I cant get it working by re-seating the cable again. Once I get this wo
  3. GIMP is a fairly powerful Photo editor, similar in to photoshop. Available for almost every platform. Linux, Windows, OS X, etc... Best of all it is FREE! 8)
  4. I have noticed the D1 cuts a little off of the edges of the image, you need to leave a little empty space arround the edges.
