  1. My HU starts when I remote start. But it really doesn't take long either way. This isn't a kenwood....
  2. Problem still exists after reformat and larger allocation unit size. Can anyone tell me what software tousle to re-scale the movie into something more pleasing to the 8000? Preferably free, as I don't plan to use it very often. I run slingplayer on my phone so I can watch and control my directv receiver on the HU. Thanks for all the help and suggestions everyone. Love this forum!
  3. Format didn't change anything, but I think I have localized the problem. It seems the problem starts when I play with the slider to change points in the movie. 1 or maybe 2 times seem ok, but 3 or more the problems starts. With a normal movie, it's probably not an issue, but I'm zipping around to play specific songs in the concert. If I hit stop twice and kill the resume point, it's fine again when the movie restarts. Even if I skip to the point where it was having problems, it will play smoothly. Maybe discovered a bug, so can anybody mes s with their slider and see if it happens? I wi
  4. MPEG-4 Codec QT Overall nitrate 3 836kbps 3 701 Kbps 1248*702 128kbps, 48khz, AAC
  5. Windows 7. I will DL it now and post back
  6. I downloaded a digital copy of metallica through the never via the code in the blueray box. It is a .mov file....about 2.5GB
  7. It is indeed a class 10 card. Sandisk ultra plus. It. Was the fastest bestbuy had on the shelf. I'm reformatting with a larger allocation size. I'll loose a little space, but hopefully gain some performance. I'll post back.
  8. I will try formatting and copying it again. It's not always the same spot, so I don't think the movie is corrupt. It almost seems like something is hogging the receivers CPU when it happens. On another note, I'm surprised pioneer would limit the size of the card to 32gb.
  9. I have a 32gb high speed card. Movie plays fine for 5 minutes then starts playing slow with stutters and broken audio? Ideas?
  10. Call crutchfield for info
  11. No screen protector on mine either. 2 styrofoam form halves and a soft foam pouch it sat in. No plastic cover on the screen. I'd be raising a stink.
  12. Sorry bro. If you're anything like me, a little scratch or ding makes me feel like it's totaled. I feel your pain. Hope everything turn out, and your body man is good!
  13. You can download the app for free, and it will have some functionality. You don't need a radar detector. It is a pay service, but I like the benefits of it. Like I said, it will have some use in "free" mode. It allows users to upload police locations,so I will get alerts of live police well before radar range. It gives me time to slow down. If used with a detector, it will automatically upload radar detections to the network, allowing a user behind you to have extra warning time. For those in the market, check out the escort passport max radar detector. It is a phenomenal unit that w
  14. The pioneer is working beautifully with the escort live app. I think it does both across the usb, and doesn't use bluetooth as I originally thought. Either way, I'm just glad it works.
  15. Escort live will announce about speed cameras or radar band. It would mute the USB music and come through the speakers. My radar detector has Bluetooth, so it will sync with the smartphone app. When my music is too loud to hear the actual detector, I would get a warning through the speakers. So the alpine could do USB and Bluetooth at the same time.
