I would have to disagree. I too have a 2001 lexus is300 and have never ever had a problem with static til I owned a pioneer nav. I say I disagree cuz I took my amp out and radio and sold them. So now I have to deal with this d3 deciding when it wants to make noise. I have checked double checked and triple checked all the wires and still have noise. Ive even moved the grounds all my grounds including the amp ground are maybe a foot long. What I did was ground the rca to the bracket on the radio. It got rid of most of the noise but occasionally when the harness from the radio (i think) mo

uhh dont mean to sound sheisty but since pioneer is a piece of crap Ill tell u what I did. Ive done this with the n3 and d3 and prolly gonna do it again cuz after 2-3 months I all of a sudden have this accelerator whine and last time I replaced it, it worked fine. What I did was buy one from the store like best buy, circuit city. Very carefully, I peeled the serial sticker off of both of them. You might have to heat it up with a blow dryer if its kind of old. The new one should be easy. U then put the new serial on the old unit and voila u got yourself a new radio. I wouldnt normally te

actually it sounds like u have the guidance voice turned down but the beep still on a level. and you have to make sure to turn the on and off button to off on that screen. Mine was doing that too then I turned everything off on that volume screen and it doesnt do it anymore. Hope for u thats the problem.

I have the same problem with my is300. Last night I installed my sirius tuner and then plugged everything in and when I turned the car on, there was that annoying whine. I checked all my wires, rcas, and amp. After some experimenting it seems the culprit is the rca that come with the d3. Plus I forgot to mention my right front speaker get about 25% of the volume. I tested the rcas and found out it was the front output rca on my avic so it might be those crap cables. It worked fine when I bouught it a month ago.
